If turn signal shut off the engine then turn signal switch and its wiring needs to be inspected.May be the switch is shorting or its wiring's are shorting and causing the problem. Also inspect the battery and starter terminals, if dirty or loose.-------- For seat not going back, in that case the seat moving tracks needs to be checked, sometimes some thing like coins, nails any other such things gets stuck - up in between seat moving rails .----- If the power supply was interrupted (battery disconnected or empty), the head restraints are no longer adjusted automatically. To resynchronize the adjustment feature:
1. turn electronic key in steering lock to position 2,
2. move the seat completely forward and the head restraint fully down
3. hold respective buttons for approximately two seconds.
---------- Move the seat all the way forward completely and hold the seat switch for a sec. then go up and down with the front and the back..then move the seat backrest all the way front and all the way back ..now try moving the seat back again. and also the headrests. tihs will normalize the seat. Try this few times.-------- In some cases its broken or loose wire under seat or towards the seat switch, but in your case its not showing wiring problem, but still inspect wires. Some times its just a bit of loose wire.--------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

I may be wrong, There is hose that is off its place in the hot side, or the flap that closes the hot channel is not working.

SAFTY LOCK FUNCTION,

2000... | Answered on Oct 12, 2010 | 47 views

your owners manual will tell you how to bypass the shift interlock. You may first check to see if your brake light fuse needs to be replaced, replace as needed. Otherwise there is ususally a hole or access panel next to the shifter, you need to remove and insert a pen or finger? to release the lock. I am not familiar with your particular car but the systems are generally the same

first.the mot is a govenment safety check,it is not a mechanical/electrical fitness test.so it passed an mot.....
now the gearbox W is for winter setting,it allows the car to pull away in 2nd gear and change slightly higher,NOTHING ELSE.
the gearchange has nothing to do with cruise control..or vice versa...
if the car wont go into/allow you to change then either its the selector plate or the gearbox inhibitor at fault......could go anytime.

Hey,
take a look at www.airbagmodul.com

They're working in Airbag-Simulators, Occupancy Sensor-Simulators and Seat Belt-Sensors.

Leaving your key in the on position will kill your battery. You need to get a boost or have your battery charged and maybe even have it load tested to see what condition it is in.

Does the remote require battery replacement? Good luck!

Well if the sensors are defective the garage should warranty them, unless they are aftermarket products
then the warranty isn't so great.
If the shop that did the work determines that the sensors are a-ok then there may be a problem with the ECU or the circuit.

sounds like a mass air flow senser, this senses load on the engine, you can buy an insert which is a quarter the price of a new unit. the e-class gave a lot of trouble with this senser.

Remove the electric fan. Remonve the drive belt. Lower the AC compressor by removing the three bolts. Do not disconnect the gas lines. Raise vehicle and remove the engine panel. remove upper engine mount bolts. Raise engine and remove lower engine mount bolts. Then remove engine mount.
These instructions are for removing the engine mount on the left side. I haven't done the right side .
