1992 Mercedes Failed Air Care causes

Have the fault codes read. Replace faulty items. Use only genuine items as replacement as non-genuine are not always compatible with the OEM fitted CPU units. This results in the fault codes not cancelling out

Battery went dead had to jump start, now cd player wont work on 2006 mercedes

It should be in the manual supplied with the car. If not call mercedes and give them your vin, reg private detail etc and if you get a nice person, problem will be solved. It happen to me, but not a merc that you gladly own. I'm n battery not sure about this advice but a merc uses a high voltage and you may need a new battery.

E320 starts but will eventually stall and wont turn on until 30 minutes to 1hour. put a fuel pressure gauge and when vehicle works goes up to 50 but when it doesnt turn on it wont show anything. told

Hello

The Engine and Automatic Transmission (not applicable to manual transmissions) in this vehicles drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM and TCM (Power Train Control Module, Transmission Control Module). When a problem like this or other drive-ability related problems occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. Also always check fuel pressure for correct spec for your make and engine type.

I'M LOOKING FOR A LOWER WIRING HARNESS FOR A 1995 S500 MERCEDES BENZ

You may be stuck with a dealer sorry that would be stealer or a salvage harness. There are quite a few places to get much better prices on parts such as autopartshausaz but I don't believe I have seen a harness listed. i would try parts finder.com and I'd hit a few of the forums. The guys there are pretty helpful and someone might be parting out the car etc.

2005 mercedes kompressor key wont turn

Could be one of 2 problems: Steering torque lock is stuck, try pulling steering wheel in both directions while trying to turn key. ORThe barrel of the ignition key is damaged/worn out. I have changed the barrel on my Merc and it is a real headache. Would recommend a locksmith to do it. If you want to do it yourself, 1) Remove all facia covers starting with the 2 small screws at the hand break release and work your way towards center of car.2) When lock is visible, you will see a locking pin on the steering lock shaft (this pin is titanium and cannot be drilled out). A slot needs to be cut from the pin to the edge of the steering lock shaft. 3) Remove gear lock cable from switch.4) Remove lock from steering column (brute force is needed!)5) With heated screw driver (small Phillips) push holes through square profiles (3x) at the back of the switch, wiring side, and remove screws to expose wiring switch; N.B. align key-way before removing switch box, otherwise you will need an auto electrician to re-wire.6) Take metal part of switch to a locksmith to locate circlips that secure the barrel in the switch. Slots have to be cut into the black surround which is titanium and cannot be drilled. (This part of the job you cannot do yourself without specialist tools.) Remove barrel.7) Purchase new barrel from MB Dealer with new key, and repeat the above procedure in reverse.8) As I said - take it to a locksmith!Good luck! It took me and the locksmith 3 days!

Sporadic oil leak

where if you spotted the leak comes from? If it comes from top side check whether the rockers cove gasket needs replacement. If it is from the side of inlet manifold check whether the breather pipe either is hard and cracked and especially leaks when you have long distance drive and the oil that time is very thin and find the easiest place and weakest to leak.If is from front check the front crankshaft seal or the timing cover gasket. If is from rear check the rear crank shaft seal or the sump gasket or the automatic transmission - if it is- gasket or the side plug O rings. I hope that helps you.
