If you havethe time and a voltage meter with Aligator clips,

I have removed wiring harnasses then

1. Disconnect battery

Wire brush male connections.

2. Trime a nail file to fit in female slots and clean with file

3. Connect Resistance meter (I prefer those that sound off when a connection is present) to both ends of wire,

follow each wire inspecting for cracks in insulations or worn areas, bend stretch and twist as you run the length of the wire. If the sound from the meter stops or needle moves. you found the bad wire or break in the wire.

I then replace the entire wire some just remove the bad area and splice wire together.

For splicing,

Cut and trim wire,

slide electrical shring wrap (one inch each side of splice length)on wire away from bare wire,

press wire together

Twist

If in car cover area around wire with aluminum foil

Flux the bare wires

solder with a conventional soldering iron and leaded solder

slide electrical shrink wrap over the bare wires,

heat to seal

It is only time and this process is easy when done on a junk yard harnass then when complete, install in the car.

I mark the wires with a paint pen when they check out ok.

Be systematic and careful and when don slide a cabel sheath over harnass

ring around the wreckers to get the lowest price then ring the manufacturers spares and get the top price. Then an auto spares shop for an aftermarket relay and make a decision as to what you are prepared to pay

it should be if your looking at the engine its on the right hand side where the engine joins to the gear box probable better if you look from underneath i will or should have a plastic tray pice under the car you will have to remove this to acsess the starter

Two options you can try. 1st, lock and unlock each door manually with the key including the trunk, then try to start vehicle. 2nd option, with vehicle battery, turn the ignition to the 'on' position, reconnect the battery then try to start the car.

PERHAPS A BAD CATALYTIC CONVERTER. CHECK ENGINE VACUUM AT IDLE MUST BE 20 INCHES OF MERCURY OR THE CONVERTER IS STOPPED UP

Most of the larger-chain auto parts stores have hand-held OBD II scan tools and will allow you to use them there at no cost. Plug the scanner into the OBD port and read/record the code(s) stored in your car's computer. The scanner should also have a function that erases stored codes and turns off the "check engine" light. Then, ask the counterman/woman what the code means and decide whether or not to have the malfunction repaired or serviced. Good luck.

Hey, what setting is your A/C on Max AC? AC? Cycling air in vehicle or taking it from outside

The car icon on the right in this image is what I'm referring to when I say cycling air in vehicle.


Also, do you ever have cold air blowing? on any setting or any speed? if not, find your A/C fan, it is smaller the the engine cooling fan, sometimes there are 2 fans together. The AC fan should be located at the front of the vehicle and is usually electrically powered.

Also try to find your compressor, looks something like this:


is it running? is one pipe hot and one cold? (the pipes I am referring to are inlet and outlet pipes of the A/C compressor unit.)

Was your question "what exterior temp"?? What would you like to know about the exterior temp on your Mercedes?

If it has one i think it is under the hood.

The "strip" fuse is in a tootsie roll sized black container on the drivers side strut mount. pop it open and there it is. 2 philips screws hold it in place. Breaks in the fuse are not easy to see.

The neutral safety switch is to prevent starting of the vehicle when in gear. It allows power to the starter motor when in Park or Neutral.

don\'t understand: cranks fast enough (battery low??) or crank at all??. Need more detail(s);if it cranks at all but slow,you won\'t get a spark;don\'t touch the end of the spark plug wire \'cause it\'d make your butt pucker if/when you get spark!!! honestly.
