You didn't say if it was a 4 cyl or V6, my first guess would be a leaking intake or head gasket.

that happened to me!i had a loose connection on the dist. pickup on the rack with the coil.check fire at plug and flue pressure 50 psi.also the fuel has a primer ckt and run(approx 15psi) packrat!

i would take it to a muffler shop they can pressure test your exhaust system to see if there is a leak in you exhaust system

New engine is in order I suspect.

Check the fuse, they're both on the same circuit.
