Oil pressure guage dropped to 5 after an oil

Did it stay there? If so, put a pressure gauge on the engine, to check the actual pressure and then you will be able to tell if it is just the sending unit/pressure sw , that is off.

2005 Bonneville: gauges not working correctly

Hello blackbearwhi,
I have repaired many GM instrument clusters and without question your issue is a failed instrument cluster. The particular item that is giving you the bad gauge readings is the stepper motor that drives each gauge.
Please visit my website for complete repair information. www.kincerservice.com
Thanks Mike

How do you remove a drivers side door panel

You require a specialty tool for doing this. Chances are you will also need to replace the clips that break during the procedure. First though, you must remove the arm rest. Look for any roundish plastic plugs that are consealing the bolts. Remove the arm rest first, pop the clips with the clip tool available for any auto parts supply place. Disconnect cables at connectors as they restrict you as you go. There is no need to cut anything and lable the arm rest bolts because they will be of differing lengths. Count on breaking a few plastic clips though. Good luck and please let me know.

thx

Just bought a 05 SLE Bonneville...and on the way

After talking to a local mechanic, he suggested tapping on the blower motor. I tried that, and the blower motor did work. At first he thought it was the blower control module. I had the blower motor replaced, and all is fine now.

The fan will not blow out air at all. It use to

It could be a bad resistor for your fan motor. Possibly a bad ground. You'll have to get behind the dash and look around. You can test the resistor with a multimeter or just an ohm meter. To make sure you've got a good ground make sure none of the wires coming off of the blower motor are loose or severely corroded/damaged.

2005 Pontiac Bonneville hvac blower does not come on

Start by checking the blower resistor. It should be under the dash on the passenger side near the blower itself. You will need to remove the glove box to access it. It is a small plate that has only a few screws and a group of wires that go to a plug in the center. Unplug it and remove the screws. When you pull it out it should look like a series of small spring shaped coils. Most likely one or two of them will be burned up. Replace it in reverse order and your blower should start working again. If this is not the problem then test the fan motor itself. Hope this helps. Good luck.

2005 pontiac bonneville won't start--fuel pump is

if the check engine light is not coming on and there are no error codes, have you checked the fuel pressure? the fuel pump may sound like its working but if you don't have 30 to 40 psi at the schrader valve on the fuel rail, then it is the fuel pump that is bad. if you had an intermittent miss or one cylinder was not firing you would get an error code to show a random misfire or a specific cylinder misfire.
