How do I change my brake power booster in my 1989

First inspect the vacuum check valve and the booster vacuum grommet for any leaks, even a pin hole in the check valve can also cause that to happen.

If the vacuum line to the booster is tight and has no air leaks, and no air leaks are in the vacuum check valve, then replace the booster unit.

My car turns over but want start

So you have a crank no start.
a) need a fully charge battery with clean terminals on the battery and starter.
b) load test the battery
c) If battery fails the load test replace it. If it passes load test then hook up a Digital Voltmeter (DVM) to the B+ terminal of the starter and crank the engine. How many volts did you see on the meter. Next do a starter current draw test.Match these results with the spec's in the shop manual.
Generally if you have approx 9.6v going to starter and your cranking amps should be about 200 amps for a 6cylinder and about 250 amps for an eight cylinder.
If all of this checks out then you have to check out the following(I recommend you use the shop manual and a DVM for these checks)
a) primary voltage at the coil
b) secondary voltage at the coil
c) defective distributor cap or rotor
d) defective triggering mechanism
e) defective ignition module
f) fouled spark plugs
Lastly when you place the key in the ignition and turn it to the start position do you hear the fuel pump buzz. If you don't you may want to bring it to a repair shop fuel checks are dangerous . You may want a certified Tech to verify a fuel complaint and definately have them do the repair .

1988 olds 98 - hood is stuck closed; tried to pull

the latch is in the center of the hood ,if grill is off you should be able to reach up and behind the latch pull on the cable towards driver side ,its easier if you apply pressure down on the hood as you do this, did you have some one push down on the hood when you tried pulling broken cable, might work if the pressure is relieved.

I guess the first thing to do is replace the cam sensor. I would go to an auto wrecker and get one just in case that isn't the problem. As far as the part being in the oil pan... i don't know how it would get there, and i don't know how the car would run if there is a piece broken off the sensor.

Easyest way to chang freeze out plugs in a87 olds

If you have access to them and plenty of room you can run a self tapping screw into them and pry them out with a pry bar or even a slide hammer. This doesn't always work though. Sometimes you can tap an edge of it in enough to rotate the plug so you can grab it with some vise grips and wriggle it out. They are soft metal.
