Check the prrimary and secondary resistance on your coil. Also check the resistance of the plug wires and plug gap.

How to change out anything

Make sure whatever (I mean even the easiest most simple part/sensor etc.) is taken out, is also put in EXACTLY the same way. Take a picture or something because its hard to find manuel or diagrams for this specific car and these have problems all the time it seems. Ex) TPS needed to be changed and when it was changed the "arm" was put in on the wrong side of the "pin" (not easily noticed unless you know that had be messed with and looking directly at it) car idle was extremely high and was easy fix but stupid long time issue.

What would be wrong with your 88 olds cutlas ciera if you're driving down the road and car dies and won't restart?

My car did this for a while until it would no longer move and I was told all sorts of things including cleaning (all the gunk near the MAF -hosing) which made it run for a month but did idle too high. So diagnose and get the codes from your car- the paperclip way (autozone cant cause its older than 1992).Codes I pulled pertaining to this issue were 22 (Throttle Position Sensor- TPS Signal Voltage Low) , 23 (Air Intake Temperature- MAT Low Temp Indicated), and 34 (Mass Air Flow Sensor- MAF)Easy to DIY with these 3 sensors

My car does not want to go, after I stop at a traffic light or stop sign. I have to push the gas pedal all the way to the floor, for it to go and then it takes off. The only time it does not do this

Just guessing -- don't know what kind of car, engine, etc. but you might want to check the throttle position sensor (TPS) if you have one.

I was stopped at a red light when all of a sudden the battery light came on as well as the oil light. The car was dead but the lights, radio, and wipers were all still on?!

That would be a normal event if the engine died while the key switch was on.Did it start back up ?

My battery wont keek its charge, I have replace the alternator and put a new battery in and I am still having the same problem ,

somewhere in your wiring loom you have a short that is draining power from the battery when the car is not being used, have you checked the battery voltage when the car is not in use?, it should be just over 12v & when the car is running it should be over 14v, if it is still at just over 12v then the alternator or a wire that leads from the alternator to the battery is at fault

Broken exhaust pipe

measure the with tape line and go to autozone and they will give you whay you need. Alot of times if a middle section of pipe is missing flex pipe is your best option and easyest to install. Better than that even would be to take it to muffler shop and have new pipe welded in..best of luck
