Common, providing the release is actually hooked up, just get someone to tap on the hood when you pull the lever, should pop up, if not the handle and or cable may have broke, then you get to do a little fishing with a hook pick and a screw driver to manually release the cable through the grille,,.

Just double check that you havent blown a fuse/or fuses, it may be that simple!

Hello, My name is Mike.The only way to turn the SOS off is you have to have it done by a dealer or if some how someone had the computer do disable it from making random calls.It needs to programmed out of being active on the car by a shop or dealer an MB SDS computer. $100 at the most. Some dealers will do as goodwill. As far as I know it is the only way known to do it correctly and remove the issue permanently. SDS stands for (Star Diagnosis System) So bottom line, in most cases you will have to go to a service center and they will use there computer and turn it off. I wish I had a free fix, but at least you had a free answer. Thank You Mike
