I can help you to put it down but you must get it check what's the wrong may be faulty wiper motor or fuse or wiper control, when you push it down same time you have to pull the wiper arm out it will move, and also it's depend on where its stop if it's half way pull it out and push it down if it's need to pass the middle first you have to push it in and push it down till pass the half way then pull it out and push it down, if you jest push it down it won't move. in your particular car have dual action wiper motor is this information helped you?

there is a couple possibilities for the ec light coming on and not switching off.1-low freon level-possible leak. 2-evaporator temperature sensor- one way to tell is if the a/c comes on and then shuts off after 10mins-this will happen every time the key is cycled.3-the actual a/c push button assembly is faulty.

no you don't have to remove the oil filter housing. Mercedes Benz has a tool that fits right over the oil filter cap that is inexpensive or you can just use a oil filter wrench. On the in-line 6 cylinder motor its a little harder to fit a filter wrench back there so a claw type filter wrench might be easier to use.The Mercedes filter tool can be found online also.

The car doesnt require any type specifically. The grade should be printed on oil cap. If not check owners manual for grade for your temperature at your location.

If you can get under the car and use jumper cables at the starter you can put power to the system to get car open. There are better ways but this is the cheapest way without other help. That and its free.

Might be anything, in my case was a faulty ABS anti-lock-braking system, but the ABS light went on. At 25 MPH everything turned OK, ABS light was still ON.

There's always a small amount of drain on the battery for the ECM, alarm, etc, but if draining bad within 24 hours you either have something live not wired correctly and drawing or possible short of a positive. An ASD relay that shuts off the car in case of a wreck or ECM tells it can go bad and lock into giving power to the engine nonstop and will drain that fast. Overnight it wont start the next day. This relay might also be called MFI. It has an always live 12v  on one part even when car is turned off.

If whatever problem with the car was repaired, then placing the computer on a scanner again should allow the resetting of the service light. Hope this helps!

VIN -: Stands for Vehicle Identification Number. Its generally easy to find, it'll be on yor rego papers, if you dont have those handy, the vehicle has its own VIN plate, the plate will have VIN (and then numbers and letters).

You need to get the code from a dealer. They will need your VIN.

Mercedes does not use steel filter cartriges like most other manufacturers. They use bolt on oil filter housings with a disposable filter element within. They are the top side of the engine and in recent years have a black plastic cap sometimes with a torque spec on it. On this engine I believe that it is at the front of the engine on the right hand side near the cooling fan cowl.

The "Engine Check" means your vehicle's diagnostic computer has detected a system malfunction in one of the many electronic circuits.

If this warning light remains illuminated, then you will need to have your vehicle's Diagnostic computer read asap, at your local Mercedes Dealership (20mins - for a small fee) and have the malfunction corrected.

Cable retainers have snapped on the cable and are hanging up at that point. Only way to fix is to replace the cable and retainers and that requires removing the headliners and sunroof.

Unfortunately you have to bring the vehicle to the Dealer. Why? German Auto makers keep their codes to themselves. They can scann the vehicle for codes and do the repair accordingly. Any repair shop will do the repair and pay threw the nose and so will you for the meaning of that code. Your burning rich. Thats what the black smoke is for But why is the question?
My experience with the *E* class with this situation has been defective air flow sensor and fuel pressure regulator once it was the ECU. Good luck

Your car has a sensor on the brake components which detects when there is low brake life. Assuming your brake system is functioning normally; there will be no initial safety hazard/danger. You should have a professional inspect brakes ASAP because if you wait too long there may be additional damage that could have been avoided with a more expedited inspection.
