How do you tighten the
Hello,
To tighten your engines belt, there is a hefty bolt that goes fore and aft through the tensioner. I think it has a 27mm head on it, then you remove the bolt and you will be able to remove the rod and its double D portion that is what turns the tensioner. This will also allow you to remove the tensioner. The tensioners are a common failure items to inspect it carefully, do not lose the white plastic pointer. It is when you are about to reassemble it back together you will be able to tighten the engine belt.
Take care and good luck

I can't compress the caliper piston with a
Did you try opening the bleeder screw on the caliper it self. If you still can't compress the piston back into the caliper after opening the bleeder screw you may have a caliper that is locking or locked up. Sometimes a big pair of channel locks and a lot of muscle can compress the caliper again. If not you may need to replace the calipers. Make sure to ask for rebuilt verses new. there is a huge price difference.

Which petrol does the car use? it is a 2.0l 1993
At least a CO90. If the car shakes only on idle that means that the fuel mixture isn't lighted every time by the sparkplug - check the injectors and sparkplugs for dirt.

Does it seem to misfire or backfire? It sounds alot like a trnsmission or clutch starting to go bad, depending on which you have obviously. It definitely sounds like an automatic transmission I would say.If it is transmission,I have never seen good results from rebuilt or used ones.It is best to replace.Call a few shops, they will give a free opinion and estimate usually as it is good for business.Good luck!
