if a w140 its under the hood in the coffin looking box

most likely yours is vacumm.On the w126,and w140 theres a pump under rear seat that the motor needs replacing.Also sometimes a fuse will blow out.

if you turn key and nothing more than likely its the k38 relay under the console,near gas pedal

DRY OUT CAR. DISCONNECT BATTERY FOR 10 MINUTES THIS SHOULD CLEAR TEMPORARY CODES. CONNECT EVERTHING BACK UP AND RESTART. SEE IF NEW CODES OR HARD CODES RESET. GOOGLE TROUBLE CODES THAT REAPPEAR. I'M BETTING NOT MANY WILL REAPPEAR

Stage pistons may be going bad. They can be replaced in car depending. If replacing fluid and stage pistons don't help then full rebuild is required.
