if it does not make sounds at the time u push the button to goes down , the problem will be the switch , may be broke and not share power to get window down. or window motor have lose cable

if leaking up around where torque -convertor maybe freeze plug it has 3 plugs behind flywheel/ if not there up higher can be intake -headgasket . i pretty sure its plugs

Check that the heater core's two tubes that enter the firewall are getting hot. If they are, then you are having a blend door problem which will require disassembling the dashboard instruments to get at the vacuum motors that control the blend doors.

If the heater core is not getting hot at both tubes, then the following procedure outlines how to change the heater core out:

Heater core removal






To Remove:

1. Remove the HVAC assembly.
   
2. Remove the heater core cover screws.
   
3. Remove the heater core cover from the HVAC assembly.
   
4. Remove the heater core gasket from the core.
   
5. Remove the heater core from the HVAC module assembly.

To Install:

1. Install the heater core to the HVAC module assembly.
   
2. Install the heater core cowl gasket to the HVAC module assembly.
   
3. Install the heater core cover and screws to the HVAC module assembly.
   
4. Install the HVAC module assembly to the vehicle.

Hi, according to the car owner's manual, the check gauges light usually means that one of the gauges is out of its normal range. It could be due to an overheat, a under/over charging alternator, low oil pressure....
Because one or more of the gauges is not in the safe zone......
ie: over/under charging, overheating, low oil pressure.....

And since your car is cranking but not turning over, i would advise you start checking from the alternator which may be under/over charging as i said earlier

If it isn't the 30 amp PARK LPS fuse in the engine compartment, it must be the relay or body control module, as that provides the ground power to the relay. That would not explain why the dash light are out though, as they don't use the relay.

First you should make sure the problem isn't in the transmission buy disconnecting the shifter cable at the transmission and push the lever all the way into park. Now push the vehicle hopefully the vehicle won't move indicating it is just the cable. Next take a look at the bracket that holds the shifter cable make sure it's not bent and properly installed. If ok try adjusting the cable which is right where you disconnected the cable at transmission.

Check for busted fuse first and electrical connections If everything is ok, then roll up the window with engine shut-off and hear if there is a noise coming from the motor when you pressed the up down button. If none, Your two options are:
1. Dismantle the switch and clean the contacts.
2. Replace the motor. the carbon brass are worn out.
If you can hear a noise then,
The nylon riser is worn out or derailed.

retrace your steps, you might have left something unpugged.make sure you have a strong crank

Dead battery. Also have your alternator checked to see if it's charging properly. 8 years is a good time for a battery to last.

Is it blinking when the engine is shut off? If so it operates that way

The low pressure side port is located somewhere on the 'thicker' plumbing vs. the 'thinner' plumbing coming off of the compressor.

The pressure should be 25psi to 45 psi when the compressor is running.

You can't connect the low pressure hose with a can of r134a on the wrong side (high side vs. low side) because the ports are a different diameter (size).

It may be on the accumulator as well, the canister looking part of the a/c plumbing.

check brake switch

check for power at compressor to eliminate it,if you have power at plug the compressor is bad,then you need to make sure the system if full of freon,it won't kick it will low freon

Looks like the TDM in the security system (VATS/PassKey) is having problems, it can get worse till the car wont start anymore. You can find a great write-up here: http://newrockies.ca , it was the only thing that saved my Park Avenue.

GM code P1404 is "EGR valve stuck open or circuit performance". Check the valve operation first.

POWER LOCKS NOT LOCKING PROBLEM IS THE LOCK RELAY.IF RELAY GOOD.THERE IS A OPEN IN LT BLU WIRE TO DOOR LOCK CIRCUIT OR TO BCM CIRCUIT.

the rubber pads on the door lock actuating lever are worn or the actuators are weak. They would need to be tested and looked at to determine this problem
