My 1992 wont engage into

There is an actuator that is screwed into the front differential that engages the front differential which are a common problem. They are easy to change but cost a few $$. There is also a switch on the transfer case that tells the actuator when to engage and those fail as well. Check all related fuses. Then check to see if you have power to the switch and then the actuator and make sure that some wires didn't just get disconnected or damaged. It is usually the actuator.

Our 1990 Mallard motorhome won't start, there is

Check the Starter and starter solenoid. If you remove them, any auto parts store will bench test them for you at no charge. This is assuming you have a "good" battery and good connections. If you dont know take the Battery to be tested also. A bad Battery will make sparks and show 12 to 14 volts on a dc amp meter, but when it has a load put to it will die. Any autoparts store will have a bench test for batteries also. Good luck.

How do i remove the

The front brake calipers are held on by two long bolts with female 3/8" Allen heads on them The socket needed will be a 1/2" Drive 3/8" Allen. The bolt heads are at the rear of the caliper so leave the steering unlocked so you can turn the brake rotor in the direction that allows access. It will be esier to remove the caliper if you depress the caliper piston with a large screwdriver before trying to remove it after the bolts are removed. See bolt picture below.

a np241 from a th400/4l80e would have the 32 spline that is need for a manual trans, one from a 700r4/4l60e is 27 spline input, in 94 the switch was changed and the cam to activate the switch was changed so if you get a 94 np241 you then will need to wire in a 94 switch into the older harness

check the fuse in the fuse panel inside the truck, if thats good chances are its your actuator, they have a bad tendency to go out on these trucks. but before you replace the actuator check to see if the wiring harnesses have been pulled free from the actuator aswell as check to see if there is power reaching the actuator with a test light. the actuator is located on the backside of the front differential on the passenger side

Heater core leaking how do you replace it

Heater core replacement is a delicate operation, and it is very easy to damage fragile and hard to get parts. I suggest that you have a shop do this job for you.
Essentially the heater box comes apart and the core can come out. Not an easy job.

How do I release tension

If you have the v-belt type, you have to loosen the alternator or power steering pump.

If you have the serpentine belt type, follow these directions:

Serpentine Belt
  1. On all models except the 7.4L engine with A.I.R. pump (California emissions only), use a 1/2 in. breaker bar with a socket placed on the tensioner pulley bolt, rotate the tensioner to relieve belt tension.
  2. On all 7.4L engines with a A.I.R. pump (California emissions only), use a suitable wrench on the pulley axis bolt to rotate the tensioner clockwise to relieve belt tension.
  3. Remove the serpentine belt.

To install:

  1. Route the belt over all the pulleys except the tensioner.
  2. On all models except the 7.4L engine with A.I.R. pump (California emissions only), place the breaker bar and socket on the tensioner pulley bolt and rotate the tensioner to the released position.
  3. Install the belt and return the pulley to its original position.
  4. On all 7.4L engines with a A.I.R. pump (California emissions only), use a suitable wrench on the pulley axis bolt to rotate the tensioner clockwise to relieve belt tension.
  5. Install the belt and return the pulley to its original position.
  6. Check that the belt is properly seated in each pulley

The truck will crank but

Sounds like a fuel pressure problem. If you havent changed fuel filter recently, change it first. If it does not cure problem need a fuel pressure tester to check for proper fuel pressure. May be bad fuel pressure regulator or bad fuelpump.

Is there any way to by pass the air conditioner on

Hello
Yes you can bypass the AC compressor with a special pulley that goes where the compressor was. The Factory calls it the "AC Delete" pulley so all engines use the same belt. The pulleys are made by a company called DORAM, contact a local Napa or Carquest auto parts store for ordering information. The pulley is about $30.00
