There may be and EVAP solenoid that is leaking. THe OLDS Aurora has this and it is a common failure with this code. Also, the evap lines run to the fuel pump on the top of the gas tank. Some cars have an access panel in the trunk under the carpeting, near the back seat on the right hand side.

Transmission problems

Hello Joel Gilmore, When last a car abused me in such a way it was a broken shift cable... I checked (assuming the 3.4L V6) if you had cable or linkage... and it appears you have actuator linkage (f/Rock-Auto)... AFTER MAKING SURE YOUR WHEELS ARE PROPERLY BLOCKED/SECURED... Totally immobilized... do a visual on the linkage to your transmission... Else... the trouble will be from the shift-servos inside. BBB Industries (FREE: Registration required)... to check for Technical SERVICE BULLETINS on your vehicle... You have 105 TSBs on file...!!! Hope this helps. http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/oldsmobile,2003,alero,3.4l+v6,1410905,transmission-automatic,shift+shaft+repair+sleeve,15123 RockAuto Parts Catalog http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html

I have noticed when imtrying to speed up the car will putt and will flash the check engine light comes on I am not getting good gas mileage

If the check engine light is flashing , that means that a catalytic converter damaging event is happening . You have a misfire . It's time to take your vehicle to the repair shop before you wreck the catalytic converter . A new one can cost up $800.00 . Best Answer: A flashing MIL, means there is a 'class A' misfire that is present. This type of misfire WILL ruin the catalytic converter(s), if the problem isn't fixed in a timely manner.

WHY IS MY STEERING WHEEL VIBRATING BAD WHEN DRIVING AT A LOWER SPEED AND IT SOUNDS LIKE A HELICOPTER WHEN IM DRIVING . I THINK ITS COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE CAR

Have your wheels checked for balance. That is the small weights on the rims. If it is not balanced, you will feel the steering wheel vibrate. It can also be a bend rim. Have the tires checked at a tire shop.

How to replace the altenator in a 2003 Olds alero

Remove the coolant reservoir,2 nuts. You don't have to drain it or remove the hose. Set it out of the way. Take the belt off. They make a tool for this. You can usually rent one from a parts store. 1 bolt at the front of the alternator and 2 on the side by the fire wall to remove All 3 are 15 MM bolts.. Pull it loose and out some. remove the plug and power wire. I don't remove the battery cable, but you might want to. Negative side.
