I have had some window proplems since I purchased this used car about 2 years ago. Presently, the passenger window in front only works from the drivers panel. Now the drivers side window will not roll up.
is it electric windows? if it has electric windows does the passenger window roll up using the switch for it on the passenger door panel? if it works on the passenger door panel and not on the driver's door panel , then your switch on the drivers door panel is bad... replace it.

Where is the fuse located for the cigarette lighter in a 1999 Olds Cutlass?
Under the hood directly in front of the driver is a covered fuse block. Remove the cover and the fuse is #34.

i need to know how to replace the driver side headlight bulb on 1999 oldsmobile gls
remove the pins and the plastic shield over the headlight housing.pull straight up on the 2 clips to release housing from ball studs , twist and withdraw the bulbs from housing!! do not touch bulbs, oil from skin will make them blow out quicker, if need be use a pair of clean gloves to be safe, installation the reverse of removal!!!

Thanks to all the responses I really do appreciate it. To answer to those who have responded. Yes the dexcool to water mix in the system is 50/50. The temp guage itself was my next thought as well. So I did replace that but still just as before the guage reads hot and upon a 7-8 mile drive all coolant is spraying out the overflow tube on the coolant tank. I do bleed the system correctly using the release valve,heater on while filling, and proper burping. So with the entire cooling system replaced. Replaced 2 thermostats,water pump,radiator,coolant tank,radiator cap,dexcool,hoses,temp switch. I will try the suggestion of the intake manifold gasket. Give me a chance to see what its lookin like inside.I guess. Any Other Thoughts Please?!

my power steering pump makes a growling noise even when the car is idle. The noise is louder when I turn the steering wheel. The power steering fluid has gotten low a couple of times and gets foamy.
if gets low definitely a leak foam is pump mixing fluid with air roar is pump cavitation check lines or pump for leak keep fluid at recommended level air bound unit can cause steering difficulty and or failure if need have trained mech look into problem

Where is the low freon port on a 1999 Oldsmobile Cutlass?
The low side port for the A/C System for the 1999 Oldsmobile is located between the engine and the firewall on the passenger side. It is very low to reach. Only connect to the system when the engine is completely cool. The little hoses that most parts stores sell WILL NOT WORK FOR THIS PORT!!! You need a long hose.

1998 olds cutlass wontstart theft system light on
It starts with the security light and then gets worse till the car won't start anymore. The security system (VATS/Passkey) installed on these GM cars is anti-owner more than an anti-theft. There are 3 parts involved:
if any of these parts fails or is even slightly malfunctioning, the car stays stuck where you are and you only get a dealer asking you about 1,000$ to fix it. And all the 3 parts have a quite short lifespan.
Way too many people got in this situation (including myself). I don't recommend any partial solution or any used parts as it would happen again way too soon to be acceptable and if it happens 100 miles from home (like it happened to me....) it's a big burden.
I finally made it to save my beloved 94 Park Avenue (with the exact same system that is installed in your car) with a solution that I found on the internet and that bypasses the entire factory security system, all 3 pieces altogether and you can even remove the TDM at the end and use 99c keys without chip. The product I used is at http://newrockies.com and is still working perfectly after 5 years. Don't go to the dealer!

step by step instuctions are available at most parts stores and can also be downloaded from certain websites..I have done both the full and midsized gm models and its not that hard if you get all the tools...good luck
