1996 Oldsmobile Ciera. Washer pump relay olds ciera 1996

Question edited for clarity and correct order 'year make model'. This website does no do well on abbreviations. Question moved to model category. No relay, it is a very low power motor so it doesn't need one. A relay is used to low amps current to switch on a high amperage device that would otherwise burn out the switch due to arcing. Remove the washer pump and test it with 12 volts direct to the battery. Is there a relay for windshield washer pump? The washer pump receives ground from the inactive windshield washer relay in the windshield wiper motor module." It gets its power from the wiper relay. Jan 19, 2023 You will notice the is no mention of one and all articles link to other relays on the vehicle https://www.google.com/search?q=1996+oldsmobile+ciera+washer+pump+relay+replacement ..

1996 Oldsmobile Ciera 3.1 Brake Diagram

I tidied up your question a bit! It is very unlikely that you can do this job yourself. You need a brake line flare kit to flare the ends of the pipes one you cut the tube to length. Then yo need a pressure bleed unit to bleed all 4 brakes. There are videos here and some pictures in the images tab, but mainly electrical. A garage just replaces the split line and follows the path it took. https://www.google.com/search?q=1996+Oldsmobile+Ciera+3.1+Brake+Line+Diagram ..

Do a scan for engine codes. No start can be caused by a faulty MAP sensor, MAF sensor or bad coolant temp sensor. You really need to scan it and see what the computer says is at fault. Fix those issues first, then move on.

Beware...some GM cars , especially 94-96 were made with two flashers in them. One was for the emergency flashers and the other was for the directional. If you flashers are located under the dash by the steering wheel look around you will see the other one. Be sure to replace it with the proper one.

Misfire when accelerating

Year, make and model of your vehicle would help. If you can check for codes in the engine control module, it would also help in better diagnosing your possible issue and resolve. What have you done so far as to diagnosis ? Have you checked for any vacuum leaks ? Have you checked if your coils/plugs are in good condition ? Adding as much detail information is best.

Car accelerates by itself; idles way too fast

Focus on the P1635. The pcm is not providing a valid reference voltage to the sensors. Therefore, the sensors are unable to provide feedback to the pcm. This problem can be the pcm itself or a short somewhere on the wire that is supplying the reference voltage. I would unplug the sensors and then check to see if the reference voltage comes up to spec (5vdc). If it doesn't, trace the wires looking for a short to ground. No short--replace pcm. If you find a short, repair. If the voltage meets spec with the sensors unplugged, plug them bacl one at a time checking the voltage after each one is plugged back in until the voltage drops. When it drops, you have found the sensor that is the source of the short. Am I making sense? Then put your old tps back on.

I have 1996 olds ciera that i can not figure out why my headlight switch does not work. My lights stay on all the time

You have a head light module under the dash on the drivers side. I always just rewired and bypassed them. Seemed I could never find one. You'll need wiring diagrams.

1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera Wagon, car wont always start in the morning.

I would suspect a worn fuel pump in need of replacement. The rubber seals and gaskets shrink over time AND with the morning cold also loss of lubrication overnight could explain this phenomenon. Luck

What does manufacturer control auxiliary input auxiliary output mean

set level of input and output for audio .. similar to line in and line out of a stereo amplifier. This means you cannot alter the level of the signal out put or input to your audio system. It is set by the manufacturer. For a 1996 Ciera I assume you are adding some type of interface so you can either input or output a signal for a device. It is probably a set level on the interface. Some interfaces have tiny knobs where you can control the gain for input or output orthers are set by the manufacturer of the interface.
