Parking and dash light flickering

First. I would look for a loose connector plug going to one of the fuseboxes, there could be corrosion in the connector even, Under the hood or under the steering wheel. 2nd. I would try to locate the ECM, could also be a bad connector there as well.

Temp gauge is giving false high readings, 260+.

THERE ARE TWO TEMPERATURE SENSORS. ONE FOR THE ECU AND ONE FOR THE GAUGE. THE ONE FOR THE GAUGE IS USUALLY A SINGLE WIRE, EITHER WAY TRY REPLACING THE SECOND ONE.

I need a pic of the underneath of a 1995 cutlass supreme showing the location of the catalytic converter

The catalytic converter is in the exhaust pipe and is the smaller of the two. One is the muffler and it is usually in the rear of the car and the catalytic converter is just behind the o2 sensor in the same tailpipe. Close to the exhaust manifold.

1995 olds cutless is it my transmission

oil condition could be a problem I am inclined to think that you took the car to an auto spares shop that does free fault codes reading, you will find that it is servos/ solenoids or problem TCM that is causing the problems may even be problem wiring connectors or harness problems around the transmission I am sure that it is not a transmission problem , just what controls the ration changes

Is the plate lights on a different fuse from my tail lights on a 1995 olds cutless supreme SL? Where is the fuse located for the plate lights?

Should be on the same fuse. If you have no voltage to the tag light socket, check the wiring especially where it connects to the tail light harness.

Bad planetary gear in the transmission. Keep driving it, it will cost you more to repair. It is a rebuild.
