It sounds like one of the blend doors is either stuck or the component that moves it is not working. The component could be powered by vac or electric. You may need a shop manual to get the repair instructions.

my oldsmobile 1995 cutlass supreme has the same problem, so I replaced turn signal switch.

check for a vacuum leak . check brake booster for the leak by removing the hose and blanking it off then idle with you foot on the brake and see it the problem appears. Check for a problem in the needle and seat area of the carby

If the gauge reads hot right after you start the engine, the wire going to the sensor could be shorted to ground.

The door handles on these cars are not the best design. More than likely it is the handle itself.

Have someone replace the turn signal switch.

it either has a cylinder misfire or is running lean. Sometimes the air flow sensor gets a varnish coating on the heated wires and needs to be cleaned with spray carb cleaner

I would lean toward the torque converter solenoid or something in the wiring. Not the ECM.You might be able to unplug the solenoid and recheck it.

then if fuses are okay then check the light bulbs in the rear light assembly

if problem still exist then go to the brake light switch on the brake pedal and replace it
