sounds like a fuel problem either a dirt blockage or the computor is mailfuctioning

That sounds alot like a throttle position sensor.If not that,then something related to fuel/air mixture.That is the first thing to check though.You need to try to avoid the backfire also.It is from too much air,not enough fuel,which causes the engine to run hotter.I have seen this situation blow a hole right through a piston.

What have you checked so far ? Blower motor power ?

If you turn the key and get nothing, the first thing to check is the battery. Then the cables from the battery to the starter. Then the ignition switch, then the starter.

Any number of things might prevent the heater from working. Does the blower motor run? If not, it could be a bad switch, a blown fuse, a melted connector, a bad motor, etc. If the blower runs but there is no heat, it could be low coolant, a blocked heater core, a stuck-open open thermostat, an air-direction door that is jammed or out-of-position, etc.

The bolt is a right hand thread. And the sensor is not adjustable. It is a straight forward install.

check the heater control valve. if the car isnt overheating, thats the possible issue. stuck open, breaking the heat transfer chain.

that souns typical of a stuck heater control valve. you can try putting the heat on while bleeding the cooling system.
