Why won't my car start!my car is a 91 olds88 royal. i replace the coil pack just 3 years ago! pulled in my drive and the car died and won't start!

Fuel, Spark, and Compression. All very nessessary. If the new coil pack is in fact still good, it still requires voltage and a signal. fuses, relays, crank sensor, even the ignition switch could be the problem if it doesn't. If it does you can pull a plug wire and check for spark with someone turning the key as you watch for it to arc to ground on the block , DO NOT Hold it in your hand. My brand new coil only lasted a year and my ignition moduale died when I came out of the bank with no warning or indication what so ever. Fuel pumps love to die unexpectedly especially with a clogged fiter. Atatching a fuel gage to the fuel rail is the safest bet but depressing the vavle stem and gassoline spraying out will be a good sign the pump is working. some cars bleed the pressure with the key off and the schrader can be pulled and a hose atatched to direct it into a container. but the olds will most likely still have some even with the key off, and you got to know, safety glasses, no smoking The vacuum hoses under the hood have turned to mush or just cracked on a '91 by now. I'm sure you do not want to hear about compression.

How do I clear the codes for my1991 Oldsmobile 88 royal. I had to change the etc 41 sensor & the mass air sensor. Now I need to clear them and don't know how

disconnecting the battery for a couple minutes should do it on pre OBD cars that came about in '96. I've learned odd tricks such as turning the key three times or othters involving the trippometer to pull codes from various late model or post '96 OBD cars but know of no procedure for your '91

Can not find the starter car

Follow the positive wire from the battery to the starter, olds put the starters on both left and right side of engine, jack up the car and place jack stands under it, there are two 9/16 bolts that hold the starter in, slowly lower the starter and diconnect the two wires, one is the positive wire from the battery and the other one is the exciter wire that activates the starter , pay attention to the smaller wire where it is attached, very easy job.

WHERE IS MY STARTER

little more info like year make model engine size would give me the ability to give you a more complete answer. You will find it towards the rear of the block where the block and bell housing meet so it can turn the flywheel or flexplate to start the engine. if it is a northstar you will find it located under the intake manifold. Make sure you disconnect the battery before you do anything, thats a shock you will always remember

A/c repairing

You have an obstruction in the line. Recover and evacuate the system of refrigerant. Open up the line and remove the obstruction or replace that line.
Then pull a vacuum to at least - 20hg's for 10 minutes . Test the system for leaks by turning off the vacuum pump and making sure the gauge doesn't move for one minute . recharge and hope for the best.
