Replaced rear axle pinion bearing and seal, need
There is no torque specs, this nut has to be tightened back like it was ,the best thing to do,was,to late now,is to use a torque wrench to remove the nut,and remember the torque, and when replacing it,torque it back to that spec, the reason being, there is a crush sleeve between the front pion bearing ,and the rear pinion bearing, and it has to be crushed to a certain amount,to aquire deepness into the ring gear, anyway just give it about 25 lbs torque, any more the crush sleeve will crush even more and the deepness of the pinion will be too much.
Cant figure out how to get the front driverside
Remove the hub if the axle nut is loose. Look at the inside of the spindle, you'll see three bolt heads. They hold the hub and bearing in place. Once you remove them, the hub and bearing will come out giving you enough clearance to pull the axle out through the hole.

have you changed the oil since you got the truck, and did you put in 5-30 oil for winter.it sounds like the lifters are just not holding oil pressure over night, and you have no idea if the other owner used synthetic oil or not.

chances are that it isnt your thermostat, check to see if your coolant fan is turning on when engine reaches operating temperature. if it does turn on then i would suggest to check for dust/dirt in between your rad and a/c condensor. if it is dirty in between clean it out with a garden hose and you should be good to go

Door lock on 2005 -3500 truck
Yes Admin,
This is what I found out. The problem was with the power lock portion of the part (siezed). It is also sealed and unserviceable. The good news is that the part was in stock at the dealer for around 65.00. Actually pretty amazing considering how many parts there are to the device. After disassembling the door three times (once to diagnose, once to take apart and disable the power lock function, and one last time to swap out mechanism) I became fairly quick at it. If you have this problem, just go buy the part and don't mess around. Oh yeah-you'll need a torx bit to get started.....
