there's a plastic clip that holds the rod into the handle unless ur handle is broke ,u can get that clip in the help sect. at ur local auto parts store or a salvge yard the clip should b in the bottom of the door

transmisssion comes out from under vehicle.jack up vehicle or place on lift if available. first remove front tires, in center of brake rotors remove large nut in center. disconnect lower control arms on left and right. pull both left and right drive axles. disconnect all cables connected to transmission, disconnect two transmission cooling lines, remove lower frame connected to vehicle body and transmission and engine. remove inspection cover on transmission, remove eight bolts around outer edge of transmission, remove four bolts that connect torque converter to flywheel.slide transmission out horizontally to remove.

Hi Goodguy: If this is a heater hose fitting, the answer should be yes. Most fittings are threaded into the block so if you can get it to unscrew (Judicious balance between delicate use and brute force with an appropriately sized easy-out) you should be able to thread in a replacement.

your anti theft device is activated,you need to lock and unlock your doors a couple times with the key fob,not the key,and then you need to put the key in the ignition and start it,if you dont have your key fob,call your car dealer to get a new one,they are programmed for each car only,you cannot bypass it.

I would guess a weak battery. Turn on the interior lights and try to start. If the lights get substantially dimmer, it is the battery or battery terminals. If the lights remain almost full bright, look for starter trouble.

Check your ground connection to the warning light cluster. Either the ground wire has come loose or the connection to the chassis has corroded.

did you apply the brake pad anti squeal grease it should be applied generously to back of brake pads & also where brake calipers where brake pads will travel as they wear in some cases hard lifetime brake pads usually bmw/other german vehicles will simply squeal unless you install softer &wont last as long but im sure that brake grease will solve your noise issue you should have got a small tube where you purchased the brake pads !

The things to check are: is the engine still getting fuel and spark. Do you hear the fuel pump buzz on for 2 seconds with key in on? It has to turn on for 2 seconds to prime the lines and fuel rail on the engine-where the injectors sit. A fuel pressure gauge could be hooked up to test the fuel pressure, with key on. No pressure means the pump is not working right, not coming on. Either the pump has gone out, or the fuel pump circuit has a problem. If gas is getting to the engine, then check for spark on a spark plug wire. No spark when cranking the engine over means there is a problem in the ignition system- spark plugs, plug wires, ignition coils (the coil pack), ignition control module, the pcm, the crankshaft position sensor-all of these components need to be checked. Buy a cheap spark tester and start there.

Possibly timing belt worn out an jumped time ! How many miles on it ? timing belt should have been replaced around 60,000 miles !
