Derrick, the first thing you should do is unplug the sensor wiring from the sensor to the engine controller and check the wiring for a any kind of short to ground. Check the resistance on each wire if you find any at all run an overlay wire for that circuit and see if your problem goes away. check coil. if you jump start the coil with coil lead resting on top of engine you will see a spark jump. failing that ecu or immobiliser

More info needed. Do the brake lights work? If yes, then there are 2 possibilities: The the flasher on/off switch is bad or the flasher unit is bad. A parts store might let you try a flasher unit to see. They can also tell you where the unit is, if you don't know. In small towns, parts stores are more flexible and cooperative.

Probably not. If it will fit in place Make VERRRY sure the gear ratios are exactly the same. they should be on a tag on a cover bolt. They have to match perfectly with the one you are taking out or your vehicle will leap into the air while driving. I'm not kidding straight up.......

This happened to me when we got our 99 Durango back from collision work. Looked like a light show at Disney. Check the ground wires on the fire wall . There are alot of them and you'll have to really look for them all but your car is doing exactly what mine did. The body shop missed 4 ground wires during the repair and it drove me nuts but once they were all back on it was fine.

First check the cable that runs alongs the frame usually on the inside of frame on driver side of car.

There are 2 fuse panels in the '99 Durango. The one containing the Cigar Lighter fuse is on the dash assembly, accessed from just inside the drivers side door on the side of the dash. There is a diagram inside when you pull the cover off. The one you are looking for is a 15 amp (blue) fuse, 4th from the front on the bottom row.

The "Oil Meter" isn't a level indicator, its a "Pressure" indicator. If it is all the way down that means the engine does not have oil pressure and it will need towed to a service garage for repair.

Check the wiring to the pump, check the fuse and then check for a relay.
