I have gotten code P1494 on y 1997 plymouth voyager
Do you have a strong gas smell in the van when stopped at a light, sigh, etc, when it is cold outside? Like first thing in the morning?..
Look at the hard plastic line going from the vacuum "tree" just to the left of the throttle body (when looking from the front of the van) There is a small 1/8' line that goes down behind the battery and disappears. this line goes to the leak detection pump and it gets brittle and breaks very easily. Replace it if it is broken or cracked / kinked

99 dodge advenger od11 connection location
The OBDII connector is located on the drivers (left) side under the dash within 6 inches of the steering column. It is not covered, so you should see the connector, usually attached to the lower frame of the dashboard.

Where is rear window defroster fuse located?
first place to look is under the hood on drivers side there are 3 plastic tabs that hold it on under the cover there is a diagram that shows you the fuse loction the other place to check is on the drivers side of the lower dash with the door open you will see a plastic access door you remove this with the end of your finger and there are fuses here you may need tweezers to remove the the fuse, also if you have a owners manual for the car read it it will tell you where the fuses are located , hope this helps

Removing passenger side cv axle 99 dodge avenger
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the cotter pin, nut lock and spring washer.
Loosen, but do not remove, the halfshaft nut while the vehicle is on the floor with brakes applied. Raise and safely support the vehicle. Remove the wheel. Remove the brake caliper assembly and support it from the strut coil with a piece of strong wire. Remove the brake rotor. Remove the halfshaft nut and washer. Using the proper tool disconnect the tie-rod end from the steering knuckle. If equipped with abs, remove the speed sensor cable routing bracket. If you need to, disconnect the sway bar link from the damper fork. Remove the damper fork lower through-bolts and upper pinch bolt. Remove the damper fork assembly. Using the proper tool disconnect the steering knuckle from lower control arm. Remove end of halfshaft from steering knuckle, sometimes you have to a puller to it loosened.
At the other end/inboard, use a pry bar of some kind between tripod joint and transaxle, pry the joint from transaxle, be careful. when you go back with new halfshaft be sure to use proper torque specs. I copied this info from my database. I don't know tool sizes, here is where you need a basic set of tools, wrenches and sockets, standard and metric, if your going to work on your own vehicle.

1999 dodge avenger keeps blowing ignition fuse what to do ?
When a fuse blows--- I replace it--- ONLY ONE TIME
Then you know you have to get wiring diagrams of the
circuits that are on that fuse & look for where your going
to do your--- testing--- to find a problem
YOU STOP---- USING THE VEHICLE----- UNTIL RESOLVED
You also know what to do
You have a professional at a local repair shop find the problem
Do YOU PERSONALLY have another option !

Back Blinker
The owners manual should have a process described. It does on my 2005 Caravan, and it was relatively easy to do. Look in the index for tail light or turn signal replacement.

Fuse box diagram
You can see if you have a blown fuse in seconds using my method! If something quits in your car and you suspect a blown fuse, you can find it by pulling out each fuse one by one. Don't mix them up, replace each one as you go, make sure to look at each one. You may even find you have more than one bown fuse! Don't worry about your intended location, checking them all this way will take less than a minute of time. If you have some needle-nose plyers, they work very well, most times you can use your fingers. Here are a few pictures if your unfamiliar with what your looking for:

Limp mode
see this commentary and proceed.with RUN the scanner/computer for easy diagnostic and fix it. God bless you
When you turn the ignition ON before starting the car, the
"Check engine" light is supposed to come on indicating that the engine
computer (also could be called ECM, PCM, or ECU) is powered on. If the
"Check engine" light does not come with the ignition ON, it's possible
that there is no power coming to the engine computer (e.g., due to a
broken wire, faulty main relay, burnt fuse, etc.) or that there is a
problem with the engine computer itself.
