firt check the fuel pressure with a gauge `or just listen in the fuel cap while someone turns the key on, i fyou hear a whirling sound is running, also check fuel pump relay and fuse.......

if the car has a owners manual it should tell you wich fuse it is also the dash lights is usally a 5 -7.5 amp fuse for the dash lights also look for dimmer adjustment switch pos. hope this helps THUNDERBOLTZ

Not much info to go on here but it sounds as though your antifreeze/coolant level is low or you have a faulty thermostat. Change out the thermostat and you should be fine. Other item it might be is the water pump is going bad or you have a temp sensor problem. But, the easiest is to check your radiator fluid for proper fluid leveel and then replace the thermostat next.

If it starts & runs for a few seconds with gas down carb, obviously you have a fuel delivery problem, as in fuel filter plugged, fuel pump, or perhaps you got some bad gas recently?

If you are still having problem with this car (I would guess its got a 2.2 or 2.5 litre mitsubishi engine in it) check the MAP sensor (dealer will charge way too much for this...try autozone or advance auto). It usually takes a few small bolts to remove and replace.

see if you can grab the broken cable end with a pair of locking pliars (vise grips) and pull

when you say the fan won't turn off is it on all the time or does it stop after say 1/2 hour ?? if it turns off i wouldn't worry about it as when you stop the motor will naturally get hotter but if it stay on full time it could be the heat sensor component that controls the fan hope this helps regards Jim

is there a switch in the vehicle to disable the bag? if not take to a shop where they will remove air bag and check horn contact switch. Alot of money for a horn, use your finger

glue it into rocker cover with contact adhesive ,also clean out engine breather pipe and the gauze filter that might be their somewhere ?? not all cars have one.Build up of internal pressure will make anything leak

we have a caravan that had issues like that, you can begin troubleshooting by removing the battery and battery pan and studying for corrosion on all the electrical connectors that go from around the battery area over to the engine, if any of those connectors are cracked, corrosion instantly sets in and begins to deteriorate the connections there, I used a nail file and tv tuner cleaner from radio shack to clean all of those. Also might want to check the fuel pump relay, on the caravan it was in the line of relays on the drivers side fenderwell, it was the one in the middle, between those two things we seem to have gotten it. If theres still a problem I would recommend having it put on the computer at a shop before you waste any more money. Good luck with the sedan!

HI. I have prepared some steps for you to follow.This will aid you will the troubleshooting.


Step1 Check for broken wires or loose connectors around the fan circuit. Inspect connectors at the fan motor, relay, sensor or heat sensitive switch, and the Electronic Control Module (ECM)--your car’s computer control system. Also, make sure to check for a possible blown fan fuse. These are common and overlooked troublesome spots that may cause a fan to fail. Step2 Run and bring the engine to warm temperature. With the engine running, use a voltage test light to check for power to the motor fan. Be extra careful and make sure to keep your hands and tools away from the belt, fan or any other engine moving parts. If voltage is reaching the fan motor, the test light should glow. Step3 Turn off the engine after you see the light glow. Apply direct voltage to the fan motor from your car battery using a pair of spare wires. If the fan fails to operate, replace the fan motor. If the motor operates, your problem is in the motor connector. Step4 Locate the heat-sensitive switch or heating sensor if the fan motor operates with direct voltage and the test light did not glow. You should find the sensor in the radiator, engine block, or thermostat housing. Step5 Measure the resistance across the heating sensor with the multimeter. With the engine at cool temperature (engine off), it should register infinite resistance; with the engine at warm temperature (engine off), you should read low resistance. If both readings state infinite resistance install a new heating sensor, that’s the cause of your failing fan. Step6 Check the action of the fan relay if the heating sensor is registering variable resistance. Your service manual should specify the power and ground wires according to color codes and the proper way to test it. If the fan relay fails the test replace it with a new one. Step7 Check the connections going to the ECM after you determine the fan relay is working properly. If you find broken wires or loose connectors, make the necessary repairs. If you suspect a defective ECM take your vehicle to a service shop for a computer analysis. In most cases, the ECM is rare to be the cause of a failing fan. The above steps should take you to the root cause of your problem and help you fix the cooler fan.

My car is not getting gas.. and wont start... i need to know where the fuel filture is at and the fuel pump.

The 4 cylinder is a 2.5. The 6 cylinder is a 3.0

You remove a few phillips head screws on the cover beneath the dash under the knee panel. The hood release is attached to the panel. You can reach it from below or remove the knee panel around the fuse box door. Look for the screws around the trim piece. It's a fairly simple process. chrysler made a particular transmission for this car that reseved a lot a problem, mostly for sticking, it is probly the cumputer on the side of the transmiision ur going to want to get a new one if it is the problem, if u wait a wial u will find out, because at a stop light u will end up having to restart the car because it will shift itself into neutral and u wont go anywere

the lights sometimes only use one bulb with different tubes for the light to travel down if that bulb is out u end up with ur problem, or u may have just blown a fuse.

if nothing else works on the steering wheel check the clock spring to see if its broken, if thats not it check the actuall switch, or it may be just a fuse

are you sure its the belt. i had a similar problem with my dodge caravan, i thought it was the belt but it ended up being one of the pullys was squeeking, and also the pully on the belt tensioner.

Sounds like a faulty fuel pump to me.

On most vehicles with fuel injection, when you switch ignition ON the engine computer runs a fuel pump for a few seconds to pump initial gas pressure. You can hear it from the gas tank area - it's like a buzzing sound. It's not very loud and the gas pump works only for a second or two after switching the ignition ON, so you may need someone's assistance checking this. If there is no buzzing sound, something might be wrong with the fuel pump or its electrical circuit - bring your vehicle to the garage or a dealer.
