it is on the left side of the motor mount just below the alternator

check to make sure your fluid is full, start car allow to warm then check fluid on level ground , if fluid is full then reverse gear my be blown. will need a used trany or rebuild that one if car is worth the cost.good luck.

You didn't mention engine size, so here are the two V6 engines...

Check to make sure all the pulleys are in line,Dodge and Chrysler cars had a problem in the early 90's where the crank shaft pulley would start to come loose and move off line about 1/4".this would cut belts or throw them off,if they are all in line then you might want to pick up a new spring loaded belt tensioner

Try cleaning the throttle body. Basically buying a can of throttle body cleaner, spray the throttle body and clean with a paper towel. Then you could also replace the spark plugs and EGR valve. Of course check/replace the air filter. Good luck

It's located at the very top of underneath the dashboard above the fuse panel in the glove box. You'll have to remove the glovebox and stick your hand way up there to get to it. It's not the easiest thing in the world to do, but that's where it is. I NEVER liked that design! :(

Bearings could be bad, you can always losen the belt and check for play in the pully, if there is play in the water pump pulley, usually the water pump is bad.

Dont know code, but I've had that happen and it was the timimg belt that broke.

If the engine is 3.0 l it is timing belt driven and under the timing cover . If it is 3.3 or 3.8 it is rf lower engine outside belt driven ( this is muce easier to replace.

You need a new speedometer cable

They usualy put the diagram on the underside of the hood where it's easy for mechanics to see and check while changing belts

check under your hood near the firewall or fender

You need to have the transmission computer scanned for codes. It is likely in limp mode because it has a bad speed sensor.

if the car ran until belt broke or was that far off and was tried to start then there are bent valves as this is an interference engine

Hi I am Vortash sounds like you have one of four problems either the oil you are using is inferior and you need to upgrade to a better one synthetics are best ..
Your Oils pump is failing reducing the oil pressure ..
Leaky gaskets allowing pressure to ecape .
Or more drasticaly your main bearing shells are wearing giving the the oil more ways to escape under pressure . this is usually discernable by a knocking or rumbling noise especially on tick over .. hope it is just the oil for your sake regards Vortash

If none of the codes match then the spot you are retrieving them from may have been changed, your local dodge dealer can cross you VIN# and find the cade. Or the Paint shops have camera's that can take a pic for the exact match.

Could be a few things.. But try to eliminate the easiest & least costly first..
Spray some wd40 into the key hole..
Push key in & out several times & do not try to turn it yet..
Repeat a few times - then try to turn it..
Sometimes the key tumblers get dirty & sticky..

If that dose not help - it could be the ignition switch needs to be replaced..
