How do i drop the oil pan in my 1997 buick century
it's a tough job if you want to remove the oil pan with the engine in the car.First you need to drain the engine oil and remove the oil filter. You need to remove the exhaust system then lift the engine to all heights to be able to remove the pan. Next remov e the oil pan bolts and loosen the oil pan. Here is the real problem to remove the oil pan in that space.
A lot easier to remove the engine to do the job.

97 buick century has no data from OBD2 scanner.
The protocol is class 2 . Maybe your code reader is no good .
012 GM Class II Communications
Data Link Connector (DLC)
The data link connector (DLC) contains the following serial data links:
• Class II
• Entertainment and Comfort (E&C)
The DLC also provides a power source for the scan tool as follows:
• Unswitched voltage (B+) at DLC terminal 16 (circuit 1450)
• Ground at terminal 4 (circuit 1450) and terminal 5 (circuit 1550)
Class II Serial Data Link
The class II serial data link allows the following modules to communicate data with each other:
• Body control module (BCM)
• Electronic brake traction control module (EBTCM)
• Heater-A/C control (if equipped with RPO CJ2)
• Instrument panel cluster (IPC)
• Powertrain control module (PCM)
• Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM).
The Class II serial data link allows a Scan Tool scan tool to communicate with the above modules for diagnostic and testing purposes. The Class II serial data link is located at the DLC connector terminal 2. Terminal 2 consists of the following circuits:
• Circuit 1036
• Circuit 1037
• Circuit 1128
• Circuit 1049
• Circuit 1122
• Circuit 1132
Entertainment and Comfort (E&C) Serial Data Link
The entertainment and comfort (E&C) serial data link allows a scan tool to communicate with the radio or the mobile telephone handset the remote CD player (if equipped). This communication is for diagnostic and testing purposes. The E&C serial data link is located at the DLC connector terminal 14, circuit 835.

1997 burick centry custom floors stay wet
its more likely to be the drain hole for the shuttle, were the heater gets it air feed from there will be a drain for the water to get out, can get blocked with leaves etc, you may need to get your hand down there and pull out the rubbish and poke your finger in the hole to push the debris out.

Vacumm diagrams for buick century
There is usually a black plastic tube coming out of the firewall that goes to the manifold. If that looks good, I recommend you access the back of the control panel. From there, you can see if vacuum is getting to the panel and if it is being transferred to the various actuator lines as the mode selector is switched. I have pasted the procedure below.
Buick Models
CAUTION
Vehicles covered by this guide are equipped with a Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system, which uses an air bag. Whenever working near any of the SIR components, such as air bag module, steering column and instrument panel, disable the SIR.
Fig. Heater & A/C control panel removal. Top: Standard system; Bottom: Automatic System-1997 Buick shown, others similar
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the instrument cluster trim plate, using the following as a guide:
- Remove the instrument panel access hole covers from the instrument panel using a small flat-bladed tool. Remove the screws from each end of the instrument panel cluster trim plate.
- Remove the screws from the lower edge of the right lower instrument panel trim plate.
- Open the instrument panel compartment door.
- Pull the right lower instrument panel trim plate from the instrument panel.
- Pull steering column tilt level and tilt the steering column to the lowest position.
- Grasp the instrument panel cluster trim plate at the right edge, slowly pull an working from left to right, release the retainer clips. Lift the trim panel from the vehicle.
- Remove the screws holding the heater & A/C control panel to the instrument panel and gently pull the assembly from the instrument panel. Detach the electrical connector(s) from the back of the panel. Some models may have a vacuum line connection that must also be removed.
- Installation is the reverse of the removal process. Use care to make sure the retaining clips are properly seated and all screws are in place. This helps avoid rattles and squeaks later.

Po300 multiple misfire
Do you know how to check for vacuum leaks ?
Visually and physically inspect the following areas for vacuum leaks:
• Intake manifold.
• EGR adapter.
• EGR valve.
• EGR feed pipes.
• Injector O-rings.
There are videos on youtube showing how to do this ? I would suggest to you to have a diagnostic shop check engine sensor data with a scan tool that can display this data. ,Especially the mass air flow sensor . All the money you put into the parts would have had it fixed already .

How to reset security in 97 Buick century
What do you mean by reset? If the car will not start and the security light is on , there if a defect in the system..You can temporary overide it once or twice , but the problem will return. Turn car to on, (do not start), leave on for about 20 min. Turn car off , then on then to start.. Vehicle should start.. You have a defect in the keyway and it will have to be replace if this is your problem...gm 96 and 97 are notorious for this problem especially has the approach the 10 year mark.

1999 pontiac grand am gt
That would depend on the overall condition of the vehicle. Personally, I wouldn't buy a vehicle that I didn't know that the engine wasn't running because I could not check it out completely before giving them my money.
