the correct tire pressure is not necessarily vehicle specific. If you look on the sidewall of the tire there will be the pressure specification for that specific tire.

How do i adjust the idle in my 1996 buick lesaber?

There is no idle adjustment on a 1996 Buick LeSabre. The idle speed is computer-controlled. Incorrect idle speed can be caused by many things including a faulty Idle AIr Control (IAC) motor, vacuum leaks, or malfunctioning sensor inputs or circuits such as the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS). If it is not idling correctly, the engine control system must be properly diagnosed to find out the reason why.

Master brake cylinder leak

If the brake lines are leaking replace those. If it's leaking from the seals replace master cylinder and bleed the lines. Hope this helps.

  1. Clean the rocker arms and pedestal bolts in a suitable solution and inspect for wear. Make sure to clean all of the thread adhesive from the rocker arm pedestal bolts.

To install:
  1. If removed, install the pushrods and make sure they seat in the lifter.
On 1998-99 vehicles, the bolts rocker arm bolts are designed to permanently stretch when tightened. The correct part number fastener must be used to replace this type of fastener. Do NOT use a bolt which is stronger in this application. If the proper bolt is not used, the parts will not be tightened correctly, and part or system damage may occur.
  1. Apply a threadlocking compound to the bolt threads before reassembly.
  2. Install the pedestal and rocker arm assemblies, then tighten the retaining bolts as follows:
    1. 1988-92 vehicles: 28 ft. lbs. (18 Nm).
    2. 1991-98 vehicles: 19 ft. lbs. (29 Nm), plus an additional 90° with a torque angle meter.
    3. 1999-99 vehicles: 11 ft. lbs. (19 Nm), plus an additional 90° with a torque angle meter.

  3. Install the valve cover(s), as outlined earlier, then connect the negative battery cable.
  4. Start engine and check for fluid leaks and listen for valve train noise.
I hope this helps, and just keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment.

I have a squealing coming

The power steering belt tensioner may be out of adjustment and the belt slips more under the extra load when you turn. Apparently you don't have one of the serpentine belts with a spring tensioner; when these fail the belt usually comes off very quickly. Examine the belt carefully - if the sides of the belt are shiny-slick from all of the slipping, replace the belt.

It's also a good idea to check the power steering fluid. This isn't something to ignore; a sudden or erratic change in steering wheel force in an emergency situation could be catastrophic.

What causes spark plugs to break

Hello.
If you mean the porcelan part of the plug breaking, there is no normal cause for that part to break. It would have to have been cracked upon installation or removal by the socket used twisting at an angle. They are quite easy to break by improper torquing of that type. If you mean worn out, this can be cause by many things. Age, improper heat range, detonation, oil fouling, carbon fouling, etc, etc. You can tell alot about the condition and operating eficiency of your engine by what your plus tips look like when you pull them out. There are picture comparison charts available for plug failure diagnosis......Mike

We have a leak in

Hi,
Probably a freeze plug. Is it a metal plug press fit into the head? If so, to remove, drill hole in center of plug, then use a slide hammer (dent puller will do) to pull it out. Clean/sand hole in head smooth and clean with brake cleaner to remove residue. 2 choices for replacement: use a rubber expansion type plug (easier) or a metal OEM plug like the one that came out. (harder, as these are press fit and go off center easily and then they leak again.) I always use the expansion type. Measure the hole in head accurately (most are in mm) to get proper replacement size. Auto store listings are not very good........
