Whats another name for a ignition failure sensor
I have heard of ignition failure sensors but only in connection with oil or gas-fired space heating units.
I have been around vehicles for 42 years and I have never heard the term connected with vehicles. If the ignition fails it is rather obvious as the engine stops or fails to start.
The closest thing is the ECU that is programmed to deduct when misfiring, high or low voltage conditions exist.
2000 4 cyl eclipse no power to one coil pack any ideas?
Looking OK is not the answer. Go to a wrecking yard, get another coil pack and try it. If you mean there is no power to the pack then get a pal and an electrical tester and check the continuity of the supply. Be careful, the voltages at the coil are high enough to kill.

- Faulty The EGRC-solenoid valve
- The EGRC-solenoid valve harness is open or shorted

My 2000 eclipse wont start up all the way
I have the same problem on my 2002 Eclipse RS 2.4l 4 cylinder. Replaced the battery, starter, fuel pump(not at one time) . It started up when I had the starter put on as well the fuel pump. But everytime I started the car up it ran good till I turned it off the problem was still there. The car sounds like it wants to start but it sputters you can smell the gas so I know its getting fuel. it starts up fine with a cold start like in the morning.
Try getting a diagnostic thats what Im going to do next week.
good luck!!!
[ cant find my furl pump relay on my 2000 mistubishi eclipse gs 2.4 motor do you have a diagram of its location
If there is power at the fuel pump on the green wire than the relay is working as it supplies power to the fuel pump.
Check the the black wire to make sure it is grounded.
check continuity of the fuel pump my measuring the resistance of between the pins the t the green and black wires go to. If there open you have a defective pump. If you see less that 1.0 ohms the pump is likely good. If you see more than 100 ohms the pump is bad.
I have been been burned more than once by bad fuel pump modules right out of the box. I know check to make sure the fuel pump itself is plugged in and I always check continuity of all the connections. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at

Mitsubishi FTO GPX. Water leak, steering issue
Sounds like the thermostat is stuck closed. It is possible for a new thermostat to be faulty. Check fluid level in PS and or leaking hose line. The temp gauge could be one of three things, 1 the gauge is bad,2broken wire, most possible is the sensor that attaches to the engine is bad or damaged.
My horn doesn't work all of the sudden in my
Hello, depending on where the Horn is situated you may have corrosion on the terminals. It is quite common on Imports to have the horn exposed either under the front grill or fender. Be careful when removing connections as they may snap off? if this happens then your problem is sorted you'll need replacement possibly from a wreckers? Hope this helped?
