Hi I would start with a new sensor instead of second hand it is to important to make shore you don't blow the motor by cooking it. If that does not work I would spend the money on a relay these are both cheap for piece of mind. Regards Craig

not the starter motor ,who said that ? no its purely coincidental that changing the battery terminal caused this problem .Now you havent stated as to type of engine diesel or petrol ? if a petrol then double your battery instalation as if what you say is correct ? then you may have either dislodged a vacumn line or touched one which has split owing to age so have a good look .Backyard mechanic like the description .Well iam a aged dinasaur old truck mechanic .WITH A BIG HAMMER

if it has been leaking antifreeze into engine it could have clogged the catalytic converter

Could be the water pump. Impellers do spin on the shaft. After swapping that and you still have no heat, heater core could be plugged up. Pull the hose for the core and flush it both ways while you have the pump out.

It will take some time to purge this system be patient on this one or you will be purchasing a head. When you purge the vent ***** fluid must flow solid not with air mix.

The transmission sensor or speed sensor is located in most vehicle located on the transmission case.These speed sensors are driven by a gear located on the output shaft. The speed sensor's driven gear can be either machined or fastened by a clip. The driven gear is made by plastic to make it softer than the drive gear. It's located on the end of the vehicle speed sensor.

Not quit enough information here. If the car starts fine and keeps turning over then you do not have a electrical problem you have a fuel problem. Check the fuel pump and fuel relay out.

If you can get it to an Autoparts store, ask them to read codes. It sounds like an ignition timing problem, which codes should indicate. There are other sensors that may contribute for example an air mass meter but should show up in the bad code reading. I personally had a problem with an air mass meter. Engine ran terrible. Foot on the gas eventually got me home.

the two thick wires are for the pump and the other two for the fuel gauge ,check for voltage at the pump if no voltage then follow the wires back to see if their is a connection somewhere ,also check the earth connection if no power in the two wires ,ie one probe onto the earth and the other to a suitable ground on the bodywork ,then continuety

its either lacking fuel or spark. have to figure which. a spark plug on the end of the wire is easy to test. that leaves fuel to be a little harder. how do you know fuel pump is good?

misfiring is from plugs , HT leads ,moisture in the circuits and injector problems including low fuel pressure. use HT lead bridges to stop leads touching each other, clean out the interior of the distributor cap. ensure that the HT leads are pushed fully home in the cap and on the plugs . clean the distributor outside so the that spark cannot track through the dirt/oil.

You should never reset the speedometer unless you have rebuild the engine completely just so you know when to service your engine ,if you already went out and replaced it ,you should then go on and reset the cpu with a OBDII scanner system or by disconnecting the ground from the battery or 2 hours .

According to this, it will reset automatically after 30 or so miles.

this is probably from a failed suspension bush and or spring/ shocky . Have it inspected by an accredited suspension specialist . When done ensure that the rear wheels are properly aligned as their alignment affects the front wheel alignment.
