I dont have any spark. have power to the coil pack
Check the crank shaft postioning sensor. If you are getting power to the coil pack and there is no power coming out of the coil pack the coil pack might be bad or have corrioson between the coil pack and the mount. Thanks
Balance shaft belt broke in
Thats happened to alot of people. I usually pull the balance shaft and install a balance shaft removal kit. Other people i know just leave the shafts in but don't install the bal.shaft belt.
HERE is a link to the 4g64 engine overhaul manual

It sounds like you may have a bad crank sensor. Before you replace it I would test it first.Any electrical part can be tested for proper operation.I would let a service station test the sensor and replace it if it is bad.Im sorry I don't have the diagram as to which pins in the connector you have to use to test it.A qualified auto shop will be able to tell you for sure if its bad. This will give you a starting point to finding the real problem.Usually if it shows a bad circuit then most chances are is that the sensor is bad.
Car wont show driving speed not does the odometer
Sounds like an electrical problem. It may be the alternator, starter, or battery when that light comes on. As far as the speedometer goes, is has a cable and it may be broken unless it's a digital speedometer. Take it in for a diagnostic test to see what's going on. That should fix your problems.
Crankshaft pullys drift in and out about one
your crankshaft shouldn't be moving that much. you need to check to see if your pully is loose or not, if pully is tight to crank and the whole crankshaft is moving that much then the thrust is out on crank and oil pan should be removed and thrust bearing checked. may have to remove and tear down engine to have crank and engine block checked at machine shop.
What is entailed in 120k service on my Eclipse?
I usually recommend a cooling system overhaul to my customers. It can go a long way in preventing damage from cooling system failure. I replace the water pump and ALL cooling system hoses including heater hoses, bypass hoses and radiator hoses. Then I flush out the radiator and the heater core with all the hoses removed. I go to the dealer and ask them to get me every colling hose that goes on the car. They are a lot more expensive at the dealer, but my 36 years of experience has taught me that the aftermarket hoses don't fit correctly and many have to be modified to get them to fit and they don't last as long as original equipment. It can be a little expensive, but it is a LOT cheaper that having to replace an engine or buy a new car.
When changing a timing belt, you should also replace the "timing components" which include idler and tensioner pullies. These pullies have as many miles on them as the belt and will not last as long as the new belt if you don't replace them. Failure of these pullies will cause the new timing belt to come off and cause serious engine damage. (ALL Mitsubishi engines are interference engines, meaning that severe engine damage will result from a failed timing belt.)
A transmission fluid and filter change is probably also appropriate at this time - especially if it has not been done in the last 30,000 miles or so.
I have a 99 eclipse
Have gapped the spark plug?
Adjust the timing?
If haven;t done these, my advise would be to bring ur car to a mechanic and adjust the timing and set the gap of the plugs!
My friend has a 1999
if you prefer not going to the dealer or mechanic, give this a try by
Call 1888MITSU2007 (press 1 and then 4 to talk to a representative). A representative will ask you :
- the last 8 of VIN#,
- the Serial# of car radio,
- and some info. like your name, address, homephone, email address, new or preowned car
and that will be it; she then will give you a security code for FREE.
Let me know if you don't get anywhere but this should be the best bet.
Good luck!
