Timing Belt
It is semi difficult. The timing belt on the v 6 dohc is one of the longest timing belts you will ever see, It winds around one double set of cam pulleys, down around the crankshaft pulley through a belt tensioner, back up around the other set of double camshaft pulleys, then back down around the water pump pulley and finally back up to the camshaft pulleys where you started. It is of utmost importantce that all the timing marks are lined up properly and that the belt tensioner is properly set when you have the new belt on. If you have a lot of patience and some previous engine work under your belt it should be within your ability. You will be taking off all the timing covers on the front of the motor , the front drive pully off the crankshaft, all the accesory belts off, undue the alternator and shift it out of the way , the front motor mount comes off, the power steering belt tensioner has to come off, It is best to jack the car up on stands with support under the oil pan because of the released motor mount. take off the driver side wheel and wheelwell undercovers for access. Take pictures, label all wiring you disconnect, it is a good idea to replace the timing belt tensioner with the belt and maybe the water pump also to avoid going through this pain soon. Get a Chilton or Haynes manual for reference. In other words it is a *****!!!!! But If you tackle the job, get it back together and the car runs , you will be proud,
