Automatic is not shifting to overdrive
Problem solved. I found on the www the wiring diagram, corresponding to the o/d switch. I saw that there is a engine coolant temp switch (at coolant outlet of engine). the connector to it was corroded. So cleaning it,...o/d is now working proper.
Power steering making noise
check if you have power steering fluid in the canister, If you have up to maximum you must check if the noise comes from the Power pump,if so ask a qualified mechanic to confirm and proceed either to repair or renew the part.
1991 montero misfire and not idling correctly, why?
bad gas could have clogged the filter, fuel pump screen, or injectors, other that that check the distributor, plug wires, and spark plugs to ensure they are getting spark. if all thats fine then look at the timing, and if all else fails investigate the sensors
Can not get my 91 montero to start
If the check engine light stays on when the key is turned on, get a manual and following its instructions, read the engine codes and proceed from there. If there is no check engine light, test to see if there is fuel by disconnecting the air cleaner feed to the throttle body and spray either a small amount of starting fluid or gasoline from a spray bottle (DO THIS VERY CAREFULLY). If the car starts or tries to start then your fuel pump, fuel pump relay or fuel pump fuse is the culprit. Dan
All windows except the driver's side are not working.
First, if the driver's window is working, there is no need to waste your time looking for fuses. ALL of the windows are powered by the SAME fuse. The first thing I recommend checking is the window "lock" switch on the master switch. If it is in the "lock" position, none of the other windows will work (it is designed to do that)Other than that, you need to check for power and ground at all of the other door switches. The BLUE/BLACK wire at each of the switches should have battery voltage anytime the ignition switch is in the ON position. If they do not, the wire is broken between the splice near the driver's door and the right front door. Both the RED and the GREEN wires at each switch should have continuity to ground anytime the master switch is at rest with the "lock" switch in the unlock position (the lock switch breaks these grounds to "lock" the windows and prevent them from being operated).

On a 1993 Montero the A/Temp went on, what thia
S
hould be the Transmission problem, but I'll suggest that you go for a scan to know what fault codes could be stored there. With this code we could reduce the number of possible wrongs.
I have a procedure that you can do to test the A/T fluid temperature switch to see if it is bad. Also check the fluid and
make sure it doesn't need to be changed. If the fluid is old and broken
down there could be a possibility of it running hotter. If it hasn't
been done in a long time I would recommend a fluid and filter change as
well.
Hope helps; keep us updated.

The two front doors locks,
Hi,
Looks like you have a rusted/stuck up door locking mechanism.
Open/remove your door cover finisher, use WD40 to loosen up the mechanism on your door lock.
After spraying some lubricants, add some grease to the mechanism.
Hope that helps you out.
Thanks for asking FixYa!
