My back hatch door on my HHR won't open. I tried to open the little panel hole to open it manually like the manual said, but I can't figure it out. Is it a fuse problem? Thank you
There is a small hook on the right(driver side) of the latch that you can push with a screwdriver (it is hard to see you have to poke around a little)after you take the panel plug out of the rear door cover.I have the same problem I found that that the coil has become week and it does not have enough power to push the lath open. GOOD LUCK [email protected]

I own a Chevrolet 2006 HHR LT that has 45k miles. I have owned this HHR since brand new. The T/C (Traction Control) light comes on and causes 'Hard Shifting", This HHR has automatic transmission and does NOT have a switch to turn off manually. The T/C light on the dashboard sometimes will shut off and the transmission woks and shifts fine, however I can be driving on the freeway and the light comes on at random. This is very annoying and also the check engine light comes on again, occasionally and when the check engine light comes on the temperature gauge does not work and the A/C also does not work, this also causes the "Remote Start" not start the HHR remotley. ANY SOLUTIONS?
After searching around, I found several posts that suggested reseating all the relays and fuses under the hood. After checking, I noticed nearly all of them were not seated well. I pushed them all down and I haven't had the problem since.

where do you add the power steeering fluid to a 2006 chevy hhr?
the power steering fluid resevoir is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment near the fire wall. mostimes in order to fill it you have to remove the altenator to remove the fill cap to add the fluid.

key stuck in ignition/chevy hhr
This is a VERY common problem. The ultimate answer is to have the ignition switch replaced. In the meantime, you'll need to be able to get that key out. On the bottom side of the steering column there is a one inch square rubber plug that you pry out. You can then use your pointer finger to push the switch in. This will release the lock and let you turn your key to the off position and remove. You may want to leave this plug out as you'll be doing this a lot until it is repaired.

where do i add power steering fluid in a chevy hhr
They DO NOT have a power steering pump. This type of vehicle has an electric motor under the steering column that controls steering.

diagnostic code p0013, p0014
Diagnostic Test Code (DTC) P0013 is "Exhaust Cam Position (CMP) Actuator Solenoid Control Circuit"
Diagnostic Test Code (DTC) P0014 is "Exhaust Cam Position (CMP) System Performance"
DTC P0014 can be caused by several things that can affect your variable cam timing system performance including using the wrong viscosity engine oil. However, since you have the DTC P0013, it is pretty obvious that the problem is being caused by a circuit malfunction in the control solenoid circuit. It could be as simple as a loose connection at the solenoid electrical connector. It could be that the solenoid itself has an open circuit in its coil windings, or it could even be caused by squirrels or mice chewing on the wiring harnesses in your engine compartment. You must diagnose the circuit to find the cause. Fixing the control solenoid circuit will most likely make both of these codes go away.

location of hhr traction control switch
Seems like you car has traction control, but no switch to turn it off. A proper fix would be to put the gear selector on reverse or low, and the traction would go off.

Traction control light comes on and car starts to shift hard. replaced camshaft position sensor per trouble codes found. light came back on and car is shifting hard once again. I hate this **** car. It has been nothing but problems
The traction control and transmission shifting would involve the body computer more so than the engine computer.
Have you had the body computer scanned for trouble codes ?

Right turn signal stays engaged, not the left.
There's a plastic pert on the turn signal switch that has broken or worn down. Replacing it is impossible without special tools to remove the steering wheel. There is a procedure to follow to dis arm the air bag before you try to remove the steering wheel. A Chilton manual will give you instructions.
