Engine code p0133, p0134, p1133,
All those codes and such an easy fix. ALL of these codes point to your upstream 02 sensor. It's the one on the passenger side of the engine coming off the exhaust, very very easy to get to. Soak that puppy with PB Blaster then remove the electrical connector and remove and replace sensor. TRY to stay away from Bosch 02 sensors, have been known and reported problems with these. In my case, I didn't have a choice but to buy the Bosch, but I haven't had any problems with mine.
Hope this helps, look to get a tad more miles per gallon too.
My 2004 chevy trailblazer is knocking
could be a big end or main bearing but there are a few simple checks that can be done first
1--have the oil pressure checked using a mechanical gauge
if there is a bad bearing there will be low pressure at idle
2 --check the exhaust for smoke under load
if there is a bad bearing , the escaping oil will overload the oil ring and produce smoke
( if smoke comes after idling at lights and on taking off that is valve stem seals)
3--- run the fault codes and check for knock sensor problems
the noise could be detonation under load from lean fuel mixture or incorrect timing
4---check the ignition timing
5-- run the engine when it is knocking and remove a plug wire and see if the knocking stops
bearings will stop knocking if there is no combustion to place load on the crankshaft
That will also indicate which big end you have to check if you have to pull the sump
Too far advanced will cause the pistons to slap the cylinder walls hard for too far advanced ignition
you statement that the noise goes after 40 indicates that it is not a bearing as the high the rpm the louder the noise
taking the foot off the pedal indicates detonation
lastly if all the checks prove good , you could always have the sump removed and check each big end and main individually for damage
sometimes a failing cam chain if fitted ( no motor identified) will knock as the chain hits the timing cover
Transmission seems to slip slightly when
I am surprised the AAMCO techs have no ideas about this. This "slipping" could be caused by the overdrive system having a mechanical problem (e.g. sticking solenoid, leaking seal) when trying to engage or disengage.
The overdrive solenoid locks the torque converter when activated, and releases when deactivated, both starting to happen when the vehicle is above about 40 mph and depending on what the vehicle is doing at the time (accelerating, decelerating or coasting). When you depress the accelerator and the solenoid is engaged at close to this speed, it should immediately release, and then re-engage when you stop accelerating, and you should immediately feel a light "bump" each time, not a "fish bite".
Sunroof Opens Automatically
as a florida resident for over 30 yrs and a mechanic I'm Not a big fan of sunroofs I'm a convertible man. a sunroof can be a real problem and costly to repair. may I suggest pulling the fuse and not using the this feature as they are prone to leaking. this situation sounds dangerous and should be off line until a solution is found.
My 2004 Chevy Trailblazer is making a bizaar noise
Hi Eabyrd05.It's possible that you have a Starter or Flywheel/Flex-plate issue. Your starter Bendix may not be completely disengaging from the flywheel like it should. I would take it to a mechanic that you trust and have them pull the starter and look at both the Flywheel/Flex-plate, Starter Bendix and solenoid. Hope this helps.
Will not engage gears shifter moves freely
Check your linkeage bushing (plastic). Dorman makes a replacement, these tend to break. In the mean time, you can Jerry rig it. I've seen people use zip ties to get by.
I have a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer EXT LS 4X4 w/ 4.2
when was the last oil change --check and test the and or clean the camshaft position actuator solenoid its on passenger next to the powering steering pump the connection sometimes gets oil soaked and or the screen get clogged --if oil is old or low effects the sensor check and test the camshaft position sensor also it also is affected by oil ---other problems can be a plug or coil failing
