i have a o4 chevy colorado 4x4 and i lost my 4x4 in my truck its a 2.8l and when i push the 4x4 swich it blinks a few times and then gos back to 2wd. dose anyone know whats going on?

Not sure if I already answered you but I think I can help ya out.. I had this issue.. are there any light on on your dash?? a common issue in gm cars has to do with the security.. it fails... I searched around and every mechanic wanted waaaay to much.. I found a place online that has a bypass module heck it out hope it helps

I haven't done a throttle relearn. All I have done are plug and play. Ecm controls the throttle thru the pedal position sensor. I've done up to 2010 so far, on various makes and models.

Did you have all the codes removed from your trucks computer..you must have them removed via your testing port and do a new test...garage mechanic can do this for you or if you have a OBD2 " on board diagnostic " tester you can follow the instructions on the device...good luck..

need a service manual fro complete details--haynes are sold in autozone etc--library has chilton/mitchell shop books--in ur case the engine may hav to be risen--make sure u change tensioner, waterpump etc while in there--a new chain quickly wears out any old mechanicals----inspect from engine seal also

You have a bad battery and it needs to be replaced. The rotten egg or sulfer smell is coming from the acid in the battery. I would not continue to jump the vehicle as the battery could explode.

If its spinning over good but wont fire, the computer needs to be reset . It should start then you drive it around to let it reset itself. check the pcm fuse

It may help to state what engine you have. You truck doesnt have an Idle Air Control valve, so I dont know if I trust who "they" are. But "they" is wrong. You dont say what the complaint is? Sometimes you can clean the throttle valve and that may help. If not it may need a new throttle body.

remove and clean the Idle air control (IAC) it may have carbon build up in it. make sure pcv valve is working properly. you can use carb cleaner to clean IAC valve. after IAC is removed, clean at throttle body side also. good-day!
