How do i remove the head loght on a chevy Malibu

Open up the hood. On the lens assembly there will be a couple of screws holding it in place. Loosen or remove these and pull the whole lens out the front of the vehicle. From there you can access the lamp for replacement.

Did you change the fuel filter when you changed the fuel pump? If there was any water in the gas, it can cause the filter media to swell and effectively plug an otherwise clean filter.

Why won't my '98 Chevy

You know the 97 to 04 Malibu is noted for intake manifold leaking antifreeze into the engine. A little antifreeze in a cylinder can keep the piston from moving in compression stroke. Take a look at the spark plugs, see if any of them have antifreeze on them and maybe the starter will spin the crank with the plugs out.

I have a 98 chevy malibu and when i turn the heater on the blower works fine but the air goes from hot to cold hot to cold every couple minutes. what might be the cause of this

First thing to look at is coolant level. It sounds like the coolant pump will push coolant to the heater core and then stops pumping because it has air because to low. If coolant level is full, the vanes on the coolant pump might be spinning on the shaft, in which case you will have to replace the pump.

Low wash lights stay on, but the windshield washer work OK

Your reservoir , I believe is on the passenger side. On the bottom of it is the pump and sensor. Replace the sensor. You have to remove the wheel, remove the inner fender cover to get to it.

Where is the crank position sensor on a 98 chevy malibu 2.4L? Also what is more apt to be bad, the crank position sensor or the camshaft position sensor?

If it is either sensor you will get a check engine light. So check this, A faulty fuel pump relay can cause the car to come to a complete stop while driving, its like running out of gas. It may be getting hot and shutting fuel pump down. Try swapping another relay of the same size, For the pump to see if its a bad relay. It may be is shutting the fuel pump down, when it gets hot.

Car iddles up when starting then dies

Need to get a diagnostic test with an OBDII Scanner. You may need to have it towed into a shop for this service or if you have any friends/relatives that own one, this is the place to start. Too many things could be wrong without having a point to start at.
