Not too likely a fuel injector problem.
The ignition system on thes engines were much more prone to bad coils and spark plug boots.
Remove the cover again and inspect carefully the rubber boot that go over the spark plugs for burn marks.
If they appear Ok do the same on the coil/module assembly.
I believe the boots are available separately from the coil/module.
When you buy the parts required also get some di-electric grease and apply a thin layer to the inner part of the boot at the spark plug end.
