1997 Chevrolet Blazer - Page 4 Questions & Answers
I bought a 1997 Chevy
An engine needs 3 things to run fuel, spark, and air, but they must occur at the proper time, that being said, buy, or borrow a noid light. This is a light that you can plug into the injector to see if it is getting the pulse from the computer, do not use a test light, you will fry the computer for sure. If the injector pulse is there you have to check the timing to be sure the timing chain has not jumped. Bring the number one cylinder up on top dead center of the compression stroke, then pull the distributor cap off and make sure the rotor is pointing at the place on the cap where the number one wire is hooked on. If it is the timing is good, if not it is possible that the timing chain has jumped or someone has installed the spark plug wires incorrectly.

My Headlights are so dim that I cant drive at night in my 1997 Chevy Blazer. How Can I get them brighter?
You have to go back to the route cause & timeframe of the problemDid you check voltage & ground at each lamp connector, when they first got dim & you started to resolve things? Why converter to a different bulb?I don't know the current draw of the oe vs: the H4,butthat has to be consideredObviously the alternator output would be up there at thesame time your checking lamp connector voltage.Problem--Voltage Drop somewhere or too much resistancesomewhere, basic OHM's Law
Engine shuts down, loose of power, replaced battery,altornator...2nd battery held charge.stills dies out when I drive..will the key switch solve this problem
Is the battery / charge light lit on the instrument cluster ? Did you have the charging system tested , they'll do that for free at auto parts store ! Do you have battery voltage at the bigger wire at the back of the alternator ? This wire supply's the current to charge the battery ! The smaller wire in the connector supply's voltage to turn the alternator on. Your running down your battery that's why it shuts down . It's not the key switch . If no battery voltage on the bigger wire ,check fusible link at the battery ! all so check gauges fuse in the instrument fuse block it is a 10amp fuse . Do you have the battery symbol light , light up when you turn the key on ?
Whats legal and whats not legal in window tinting
It's not so much about where you live for the amount of tint possible, but the most tint allowed in other locations.
You may travel and may run into problems elsewhere with the level of tint.
Rear windows can be fully tinted.....right up to total blockage of light.
Front tint is another story.
You must be able to see the driver EASILY from a distance.
.......and the driver must be able to see out of the rear view side mirrors AT NIGHT.
My taillights and brakelights dont work on a 1997
in most cases the stop + tail lights are on the fuse circut .
as for the location of the fuse box i don't know what or where the fuses
you found are some fuses are found under the hood on top of the left fender well but rarely any light fuses your best bet is the owners manual
if not check the drivers side kick panel if its behind there it will be marked if not the lower dash may have removeable panel about 4"wide
also marked or the firewall with a black plastic cover or under the dash
facing down with or without cover
