1997 Chevy Blazer. The ignition will not turn off always or allow me to remove the key for several tries up to an hour. Pretty aggravating. I have other issues & have read that they could all be p

Maybe true, but your first priority should be to get that ignition switch looked at (three parts - key module, the cable from it to the electrical switch, and the electrical switch, and it's usually the electrical switch), then see what problems go away. If the compressor clutch won't engage (electrical problem), that could be related to your ignition switch problem.

How do i unhook the tcc solenoid on my 1997 blazer for testing purposes

I believe there is a fuse that controls just the tcc. There should be another for all other transmission functions.

Why won't the fuel gauge work?

The power wire from the sending unit runs to the gauge. Since it is showing 3/4 all the time. It is a break in the wire or really high resistance. I would check resistance of the ground wire first. If it is good(less than 5.0 ohms), I would replace the power wire from the pump to the gauge. I assume the gauge goes to empty with the key off. If not the gauge is bad.

How can I start with a screwdriver?

BAD idea. Just get a new key from dealer. You must bring the title, your ID, and they should be able to make a key. Might cost $40 or so, but you won't have ruined a $200 steering column.

What is transmission fluid capacity?

If you are just changing the fluid and filter, it should be around 5 quarts. The entire transmission holds about 12 - 15 quarts counting the torque converter. It should tell you the actual amount depending on which trams you have in the owners manual.

Sounds like water/debris in the gas tank. Try adding dry gas to the tank. Changing the fuel filter also a good idea.

1997 chevy blazer 4.3L cold hard start have to add

There may be a problem with the fuel pump itself or the truck may need a basic tune-up. Those would be the first two things to check. Pull a spark plug and see how it looks. If it is in really bad shape, it won't be able to fire properly and this will lead to hard starting. A set of plugs and plug wires can really wake up an older engine. The second thing to check if those are ok would be the fuel pump itself. It may be weak and take longer to build proper fuel pressure. This will have to be checked by a mechanic. The fuel pressure is very high and there are special tools that will be needed.
