Air comes out of all vents.
Agree with Frank Rock. Had this same problem on a 2001 Century. Installed a new battery at one time and broke the vacuum line when installing. Took a bit of head scratching to figure out why the heater/vents etc were not working too well.
How do you change the dimmer/turn signal level in stering colum
most just push into the wiper switch.Disconnect battery negative First wait 3-5 minutes Then on the back side of steering wheel is are the retaining screws that hold the air bag to the steering wheel once removed disconnect wires and place pad side down then remove steering wheel, now you are looking at the air bag cable reel mark it position and remove without turning it. If installed wrong it will break. Remove lock plate then turn signal switch then you can see the handle nub with a small screwdriver pry nub out of wiper switch. and reassemble.

What is heater used for in c02 sensor
You're probably referring to an 02 sensor, which provides feedback to your emissions control system and adjusts your fuel mixture based on the oxygen content of your exhaust fumes pre and post catalytic. If it's not working, you will notice decreased fuel efficiency and engine performance, as well as a pesky check engine light.
Security light is on
The security light, is a visual indication that something in the car's antitheft system is failing. In most GM cars and trucks there is a hidden system that most people are unaware even exists. From the moment you put your key in the ignition, there begins a constant line of communication between your key's security chip or transponder, to the ignition's lock cylinder, and then to the car's TDM (Theft Deterrent Module). These 3 parts are in CONSTANT communication. If the key is in the ignition, then these parts are sending signals to each other. The security light illuminates when that signal gets broken, even just for a second. When the signal breaks, the car misinterprets this as an attempt at theft and goes into antitheft mode. The car thinks its being stolen or hotwired because it is not getting that signal from YOUR specific key all the way through the system. This is why the security light turns on and shuts down your starter, and/or the vehicle after 2-5 seconds. This link explains it pretty well.
