Signal light problem

If the signal lights don't work on either side, front and back, check the flasher, usually located on the fuse block. If this isn't it, let me know, we can continue from that point.

Brake lines leak bad

Any auto parts outlet will carry replacement brake lines and connectors. Not costly either, except for the connectors, their brass.I replace all brake lines every time I build another vehicle in this manner. After all lines are replaced,go to the brake bleeder farthest from the master cylinder and take it out.Fill the master cylinder, and the brake will bleed themselves with gravity.omce fluid comes out of the farthest, close it off .Then,Go to the closest to m-cylinder,having someone push the brake pedal to bleed it out and so forth for the others.Rigger

2001 buick lesabre volts goes from 14.5 to 12 and car shuts off mid ride and when in neutral. replaced egr cleaned maf still same problem

DTC P0128 - Coolant Thermostat (Coolant Temperature Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature)This means that the engine's PCM detected that the engine has not reached the required temperature level within a specified amount of time after starting the engine. The intent of the P0128 code is to indicate a faulty thermostat. Experience indicates that the most likely solution is to replace the thermostat.DTC P0107 - Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Low InputThe Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor responds to changes in the intake manifold pressure (vacuum). 5 Volts is supplied to the sensor from the PCM (powertrain control module). Inside the MAP sensor is a resistor that moves in relation to manifold pressure. The resistor varies the voltage between about 1 volt to 4.5 volts (depending on engine load) and that voltage signal is returned to the PCM to indicate manifold pressure (vacuum). This signal is essential for the PCM to determine fuel delivery. A P0107 DTC is set when the PCM sees that the MAP signal voltage is less than .25 volts which is too low. Confirm this measures conditions.Keep in mind that will need using a scan tool with the Key on and engine running, monitor the MAP sensor voltage. If it is reading less than .5 volts, turn engine off, unplug the MAP sensor and, using a DVOM (Digital Volt/Ohm Meter) check for 5Volts on the 5 Volt reference circuit.DTC P0401 - Insufficient EGR FlowThis fault code most likely means one or more of the following has happened:
  • The DPFE (differential pressure feedback EGR) sensor is faulty and needs to be replaced
  • There is a blockage in the EGR (tube), most likely carbon buildup
  • The EGR valve is faulty
  • The EGR valve may not be opening due to a lack of vaccuum
Now, about the possible solutions in fixing this code, it is quite common for people to just replace the EGR valve only to have the OBD code return. The EGR valve is not always the culprit.
  • Use a vacuum pump and pull the EGR valve open while monitoring engine RPM's & DPFE voltage. There should be a noticable difference in RPM's with the EGR open
  • Clean out the EGR valve and/or tubing to remove deposits
  • Check the voltage at the DPFE, compare to specified values (refer to a repair manual for your specific model)
  • Replace the DPFE sensor (with a good quality / OEM one)
  • Replace the EGR valve
Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

Car is hard to turn

Print this article Things You'll Need

Adjustable wrench
  • Pitman arm puller
  • Torque wrench
  • Show More Instructions

Park the vehicle on a level surface and make sure the front wheels are pointing straight ahead. Make sure the vehicle is in park (or in gear if you have manual transmission) and set the parking brake.

Disconnect the pitman arm from the steering box from underneath the front of the vehicle by turning the holding bolt in a counterclockwise direction with an adjustable wrench. Place a pitman arm puller (available at auto parts stores) over the pitman arm and tighten the nut on the puller in a clockwise direction with an adjustable wrench until the pitman arm loosens from the steering box shaft. Remove the pitman arm and the puller.

Open the hood and loosen the lock nut on top of the steering box from the engine compartment with an adjustable wrench in a counterclockwise direction.

Place a torque wrench on the steering shaft and turn the wrench one complete turn. Make sure the torque reading is approximately 2 inch pounds. Tighten the adjusting nut on top of the steering box (it comes out of the center of the lock nut) in a clockwise direction with an adjustable wrench one half turn if the torque wrench reading is too low. Loosen the nut in a counterclockwise direction if the reading is too high.

Rotate the steering shaft with the torque wrench again. Make adjustments to the steering box adjusting nut as described in Step 4, if needed, until the correct reading is obtained on the torque wrench.

Make sure the steering wheel is in the straight ahead position and reattach the pitman arm to the bottom of the steering shaft on the steering box. Tighten the holding nut in a clockwise direction with an adjustable wrench until the pitman arm seats into place.

Tighten the lock nut on top of the steering box with an adjustable wrench in a clockwise direction. Close the hood
