Check the ICM. Idle control module. If the fuel pressure regulator was the problem, you'd have a hard start condition ans a lack of power.

No, the modulator on a 4t60e only will adjust shift feel, not shift points. Does the trans not shift up or go it to neutral instead of 2nd? Does you speedo work? The pcm needs a speed input to shift the trans. You might have a bad VSS

Why do i keep on getting error 62 when trying to install the application manager? What does it mean? I have succesfully worked with all the applications before an update of the application manager. Since the update i keep on getting the errror. Step on brake pedal and see if you have brake lights. The brake light switch release the solenoid to let it shift. If brakes lights work then the solenoid could be defective. Also the fuses should be checked for the brake lights if they don't work.

Cars need gas to run, even the 93 LeSabre

First, verify that none of your lights are remaining on, especially the TRUNK LIGHT and the GLOVE COMPARTMENT LIGHT. Second, after you have driven the car for several miles, turn the car off and let it sit for one to two hours. Feel the back of the alternator. If it is hot, REPLACE THE ALTERNATOR, and your problem will stop (bad rectifier diode).

That sounds more like a low battery or bad starter. How cold is it when this problem occurs?

When last time you have done tune up?fuel filter,crank and cam sensor.
