Greg, It'll be metric for sure. If you have a local repair shop they may have one of those assortment boxes of Imperial/Metric O rings and you could just match it. Or, you could call the nearest BMW specialist , explain where it is and flash a couple of bucks on a genuine one?Some BMW parts lists are available from Ebay on cd but they won't give dimensions, just location, but at least you'd have the part number to quote the parts jockey.

About right what i do it disconnect the wire to the light then use a old heater glow plug relay and wire this into the ignition with output going to the light ,turn ignition on and 10 sec it goes out ,better than connecting it to oil light or or gen light ,ourvehicle inspectors know all the dodges us cowboys get up too when the annual inspection is due

You need to contact your local BMW dealer. If you are lucky, the original selling dealer entered the radio code along with your vehicles other RDR info. If not, the dealer should be able to retrieve the radio code given the radio serial number (either recorded on the main unit or accessible through a key sequence - which method would be determined by the make/age of the head unit)

Have you checked the fuse panel for blown or loose fuses? If the fuses are in good shape, verify all the connections leading to the headlight are good.

The first step is to see if the regulator is bad, to check this grab glass and try to move up and down. if the glass moves then you have a regulator problem. if glass does not move you may have a window motor problem. you will need to remove the door panel and with a test light you will check and see if there is power at the motor while pressing the up or down button, there should be power on one wire when up is pressed and then power on the other wire when pushing button down, up there is power you may have a bad motor.a quick motor test would be with door panel off and hold down button and bang with your hand on door in area of motor and if window starts to work then motor is worn and needs replacing. good day....

this car has a fuel pump relay to shut off the fuel. I am wondering why do you want to do this?

check your vacuum hoses and also check your intake tube, my 325 i did same and found out was just one vacuum hose and i had a rip in my intake tube coming off the throttle body.

For crank i think your alignment has been compromised and if your car is not in starting condition then you need to tow to experienced BMW service provider for realignment.

Does the engine turn over when you try to start it? Or is it just dead silent? Your engine requires a lot of power to start, where the lights on your dash/etc require very little power. It's not uncommon for the battery to be able to power everything in the car but not have enough power to start the engine. Check the voltage at the battery when you're trying to start it. it should be around 12 volts. Try a jump start if you don't have a voltmeter. If it starts when hooked up to another cars battery then your battery is the problem.

Sounds like your battery is dead. Have you tried to jump it off with jumper cables?
