I have a 2005 mistubishi lancer ralliart 5 speed,

Air condition smell

Cut the outer hood release cable sheath (under the dash) back to expose the inner wire cable, then using a pair of locking pliers (Vise Grips) pull on the inner release cable while another person pushes down over the latch area of the hood to relieve pressure on the latch and make it easier to open, the hook is released lubricate the hood latch and hood latch striker with white Lithium Grease (AKA "Lubriplate")
Cannot accelerate when pressing the pedal just iddleing
If this is a "fly-by-wire" car, gas pedal may have failed or not be in sync with throttle. This can happen when throttle gets dirty and sticks part way open. If not FBW car, insure gas pedal is operating throttle body blade.

How to adjust the head light in lancer 2005
There are usually some adjustment/aligning bolts on the back of the headlight. You will have to park your car perpendicularly to a wall about 25 feet away from the car. Then you will adjust and align the bolts on the back. You will have to open the hood as the alignment bolts are on the back of the headlight which is accessible from the engine compartment side. There are usually 3 alignment bolts per headlight. You may have to chalk up a pattern on the wall when you do this. Here is one guide for you.
