Dash lights on my car dont work all the time
if its working in park there is a earth fault and the park light switch is sending a backward earth and this is why you get lights with it on. now there is a lot of earth wires in the dash it may be best to make a new one. you will need to find the original earth wire colour and connect the new earth to it and put on a good earthing point. you even just check the cig lighter fuse and check this some times when this fuse blows it can be on the same circuit. as its a 98 it could be this most new vehicles don't have cig lighter any more.

Where is bcm on 1998 oldsmobile aurora
Odd ,really sounds like fuse blew.Seems odd the OBD didn't work. Anyway I think it's under the instrument panel ,by the e brake. Was on the earlier ones anyway. There are 2 boxes there ,far left is the BCM. Be cautious of the yellow air bag wiring.
Problem is,if you replace it the orignal problem is still there. Saw this problem once after someone used an unlocking tool on the drivers door.I would check that switch wiring or...possibly the wires inside the rubber boot that runs between the door and the body. They break there due to the use of the door,if the BCM gets its feed from the master switch.Just a thought. I don't have a wiring diag. of this car.
They used to call that BCM a MALL, malfunction alarm and lighting module.
My aurora keeps overheating ive just changed just
Being the engine is getting old, the radiator and cooling system as a whole, is probably getting clogged up. The Dex cool antifreeze used in GM cooling systems will, over time, tend to gel and clog the passages in the radiator and heater core. I would suggest having the entire system back-flushed. This would require removing the radiator. It would cost a little more than doing it in the driveway yourself, but continued overheating, especially at the temps you mentioned is going to destroy your engine. Having the cooling system professionally flushed is cheaper than a new engine.
Find windshield washter motor
on my ford it is attached to the resivoir that actually holds the liquid that washes the windshield. Mines at the bottom, try to find the wire that comes out of there.
Radio fuse
there might be a fuse for the windows i doubt it there will be one for the radio but the speedometer do you mean the light wont work or the sppedometer itself if its the speedometer itself then it is the speed sensor and the gas guage its the sending unit or if its the light then if all the other lights work and those dont then take the instrument cluster off and replace those bulbs
Revvs up and down on it's own? I suspect I should
HI,The IAC is good start, but I'd check for loose/broken vacuum lines/hose to see if you have an air leak. To clean the IAC usually you can spray some brake cleaner (don't use WD40 or any other lubricant that'll leave a film behind) into the line that attaches to the air intake system. DON"T OVERDO IT or you could cause engine trouble.Gl,TD
