Sorry to tell you this, but it sounds like they may have put your rings in wrong or one broke right away. If you want to verify which cylinder it is, pull the spark plugs and see which one has oil on it. I suggest you take it back to the place that did overhaul and have done over.

Your tail lights and brake lights are on a separate electrical circuit mainly because your brake lights need to be activated by the brake switch in your brake petal. Check the voltage regulation circuit in your dash light circuit to see what is faulty.

Better make sure it isn't a no tolerance engine first. If it is, the pistons could have slapped the valves. This will bend the valves, break them, or punch holes in the pistons. I know the 4 cylinders are not tolerance, but not sure on the six cylinder. You can do a leak down test, but you have to basically pull the cams, So the valves are shut. Then put air pressure to each cylinder. If the cylinder is bad it will leak air(a lot) out of the throttle body, exhaust(out of the tail pipe) or into the crank case.

Hi,some times the head gasket can go and you dont get the musterd mix of oil and water,so you get petrol and spark but wont run,I would get a compression test to see if the compression is ok just incase the head gasket is gone,(remember as I cant see the car in person these are educated gesses)I hope you sort it out.
