How to remove headlight assembly

Hello,
  • 1)Raise the hood of your Montero Sport. Lift the support rod to keep the hood open while you work.

  • 2)Disconnect the wiring harness on the rear of the headlight assembly by pulling the connector straight back. Turn the retaining ring counterclockwise and slide it back off the bulb.

  • 3)Grab the bulb and turn it counterclockwise to release it from the assembly. Pull the bulb toward the engine to remove it from the assembly.

  • I hope it works. Don't forget to rate me.
  • Thanks

I change alternator 3 times 6 month and no charge

I am not sure if the voltage regulator is built in the alternator on that car but check it, If it is built in the alternator you most likely have a short of some kind, you need to have a electrical check.

I just replaced both O2 sensors on my 98

Get the battery connections checked.Clean the battery terminals and reconnect. Also check the actual battery voltage at battery terminals.------- Also check the alternator voltage checked. If the alternator is getting weak, then it will not hold the pressure so the rpm drops for few seconds and comes to normal. Also if alternator is weak, then it will not give voltage to battery to starts the car instantly. It will take few seconds to give voltage to battery and car starts. But it takes that 4 to 5 seconds. The alternator is working at present but its got weak or its connections are getting loose. Get both the alternator and battery tested at local autozone service center.-------- --------- The other possibility for RPM drops at stop light is dirty throttle body and blocked idle control valve. Also cluck this link directly for more details:----
