I have a 1998 galant.

Check your fan belt, it can make the smell if it rubs on something or if slips. You might have leaked oil onto on of the belts and this would cause the smell. Be certain you aren't confusing the smell of hot burnt oil with rubber Click on the link below and follow the "step by step" instructions to flush your vehicle engine

Yes, the E3 spark plugs will work with your 1998 Mitsubishi Galant. The correct part number is: E3.56 Click on the link below to see the complete E3 cross reference chart

To restore the power door locks and windows, check the fuse box underneath the drivers side steering wheel. Flip the fuse box cover lid over and you will find a diagram. Locate the "power window and power door lock fuses" and replace the burned out fuses (two seperate fuses) with the same color/amp fuse (number is located on top of each fuse) If your windows and locks still won't work then you will need to replace the drivers side master power window switch that cotrols the locks and windows. To clean the A/C vents, you will need to remove each adjustable vent and then grab some Lysol or 409 spray cleaner and wipe inside and around each vent to get the gunk out. After you clean the gunk, spray some odor-eliminating disinfectant (20 sprays per vent) Turn the air-conditioning system to the A/C max setting on high, and engage the recirculating setting. Send eight to 10 sprays of the disinfectant into the car, and exit the vehicle for seven minutes.

My motor wont idle

The IAC or idle air control motor controls your idle and may need replaced. Also see if your air filter is dirty. How long since a tune up or fuel filter could be a cause also.

When the car gets to

major transmission problems will always bite you where it counts but the only way to make sure what it is, is to take it to a shop and have them do the work since manuales and auto's have many different parts that are easy to lose.

Engine mounting

I first have to ask if you are sure the engine mounts are bad, or could the engine just be misfiring on a couple cylinders. Is there any clunking or thumping when accelerating or just revving the engine? If there is, then check the motor mounts, otherwise check the sparl plugs and wires. Here is an internet parts supplier that I have used before. http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php Most of their merchandise goes out by UPS who has a facility in Gaborone. It looks like your Chariot was sold under many different names throughout the world. We knew them in the US as the Dodge Colt Vista, and the Mitsubishi Expo. Here is a brief bit of information about the car. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsubishi_Chariot

White smoke is usually an indication that there is coolant in the exhaust. You may need to have a block test and test for a bad head gasket.

ENGINE MOUNTS

Im not 100% sure but i wouldnt see why not. It is the same subframe, engine, and trans as the usdm car. If you cant find new mounts than you could always fill you old ones with Window Weld. It results in a stiffer mount that reduces engine movement and wheel hop.

When my Mitsubishi galant 97 carburetor car moves

Best solution is to move the carburetor back onto the transmission and bolt it down tightly. The transmission shouldn't neutral up unless the car is brown or other neutral color. If you paint stripes on the car there wont be any more neutralling up and may even fix what's wrong with your brain.

My fuel was running on reserve i was going to put

you ended with the fuel pump will need changing the crank sensor???? what is this? it all sounds like the fuel pump is bad and needs changed. did this happen. there is a way to tell if this is what is wrong. you buy a can of starter fluid ( under $5 ) and spray it into the air box while someone is trying to start the engine. you open the air box and spray into the tube leading to the motor. if all else is ok the motor will fire and run as long as you keep spraying the starter fluid. when you stop the engine should stop. this is a good test for the fuel pump. what does the crank sensor have to do with it? Not to say the two could never quit at the same time but they are not related.
good luck and get back with me if i can help more.
