If the engine runs but the car does not move, there might be a problem with the transmission in the car. It mainly depends if the car is an automatic or a manual. Refer to your car dealership and they will run tests and give you a thorough answer.
Tried to take neg off battery for 30 minutes? These vehicles have adaptive learning, (i have a mitsu galant), If that doesnt help you may have to go to dealer to have learning cleared.
You should have it checked by qualified repair shop , could be any number of things . Is it fuel injected , carbureted ? Does it have electronic ignition system , crankshaft position sensor ,or a distributor . You replaced the fuel pump an that didn't fix the problem . Parts stores love that .
It could be a failing battery, or more likely, a problem with your cold-start injector or fuel/airflow sensors.
The only real solution is to give a mobile mechanic a call and ask him to do a diagnostic check to identify the problem. Or go to a workshop ..
It's worth paying a mobile mechanic (they are usually very good). It's cheaper than buying and fitting parts in the hope of curing the problem
Should be up under the driver side dash area. Try the hazards and follow the sound. Will it click at all when moving the lever? If so, folow that sound as there is no info I can find for a picture location
You should see either 2 plugs with 3/8" squares or two bolt heads about 24mm. They will be on the side that faces the rear of the vehicle. One will be towards the lowest point of the transfer case. The other will be about in the middle of the transfer case. Make sure the upper one comes out before you remove the lower one to drain. If you drain it before checking you could be out of luck.... The A/T button is the power/economy mode which changes the shift points at which it up and downshifts. The A/T mode would be good for towing a trailor or a load inside the car up hill where you would want the engine to shift at higher RPMs so it would not be shifting so much back and forth everytime you go up and down a hill.
